Aprilia globally unveiled its new small-size sportbike, the RS457. It will be launched in India in a couple of weeks and will go up against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and the KTM RC 390. Hiding behind its RS660-like bodywork is a 457cc, parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank that makes 47bhp. Typical of Aprilia’s, it also comes equipped with loads of modern features like three-level traction control and three riding modes.
Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror launch
JawaYezdi Motorcycles spruced up its portfolio by launching the new Black Mirror colour variant of the 42 Bobber. It costs Rs. 2.25 lakh, ex-showroom, which makes it around Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 more expensive than the existing colour variants. The updates are just visual like the presence of a chrome-finished fuel tank along with the contrasting full-black treatment for the rest of its bodywork. Moreover, the Black Mirror boasts diamond-cut alloy wheels which bring in the convenience of tubeless tyres.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, ZX-6R India launch imminent
Kawasaki India released a new teaser on its social media handles, hinting at an imminent motorcycle launch. The image shows an inline four-cylinder engine which seems to have the cylinder deactivation functionality. According to our sources, the Japanese brand is set to bring in the Ninja ZX-4R as well as the ZX-6R to India. Both of them are extremely focused sportbikes with high-revving engines, premium hardware, and decent electronic aids.
