The main highlight of the previous week was the first ride reviews of the new Yezdi motorcycles. We rode the Roadster on the road and the Scrambler and Adventure off the road. All reviews are already up in the expert reviews section. There were more such interesting stories that went up on BikeWale last week and we give you a quick round-up here.
Yezdi first ride reviews
Classic Legends recently resurrected the Yezdi brand with three new offerings – Roadster, Scrambler, and Adventure. All three motorcycles bring different flavours to the table while sharing the common revised version of the Jawa Perak’s engine. We got to spend about two hours each with the Roadster, Scrambler, and Adventure and you can read their reviews here, here, and here.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 spotted
Royal Enfield’s upcoming motorcycle – the Shotgun 650 was spotted testing again while fully camouflaged and bearing testing equipment. The Shotgun 650, also known as the SG650, is a single-seat bobber version of the Super Meteor 650 that will also be launched in India. The Shotgun 650 will be positioned above the Super Meteor in terms of pricing and certain components.
Besides the Shotgun, Royal Enfield has also been rigorously testing the Hunter 350 in India and one of the test mules were sighted on the road again. It will most likely borrow the 349cc, single-cylinder engine from the Meteor that churns out 20.2bhp and 27Nm. The launch details are unavailable yet, but we may see it in our market in the second half of 2022.
Bajaj's newest and most premium Pulsar models, the Pulsar N250 and the Pulsar F250 have recently received their first hike. Fortunately, the increment isn’t substantial at Rs 1,180 and Rs 915 for the N250 and the F250, respectively. While the former costs Rs 1.39 lakh, the latter is pegged at Rs 1.41 lakh now. Notably, Bajaj has increased the prices of the Pulsar 220F, Dominar siblings, and the Avenger as well.
New KTM 890 Adventure S spotted
KTM’s 890 Adventure range is expected to be overhauled for 2022 with a bunch of major updates. Interestingly, besides the existing standard and R trims, the Austrian manufacturer is also expected to have a third, all-new bike in the range called the 890 Adventure S. As observed from the spy shot, this will be a road-oriented model with 17-inch alloy wheels shod with road-biased tyres.
