Zero Motorcycles has finally revealed its latest creation, the SR/F electric streetfighter. This motorcycle has been designed to take on the middleweight petrol-powered bikes.
The SR/F is a mix of incredible performance, bold styling and modern electronics. The company claims that this electric bike delivers an attractive blend of industry-leading power, control and connection. The company has worked intently to get the best range capability and recharge time.
The SR/F gets a new ZF75-10 motor that is coupled with a ZF14.4 lithium-ion battery. The bike can be ridden up to 320 kms using Zero’s Power Tank. Its rapid charge system can charge the battery to 95 per cent in just one hour.
In terms of electronics, the SR/F is loaded to the brim. It gets Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC) which sports cornering brake control, traction control and drag torque control. The bikes gets four riding modes – street, sport, eco and rain. There are also 10 programmable custom modes on offer, which can be controlled via the full LCD dash which the rider can connect to through the new app. This app also allows the rider to keep a track of bike status, charging and ride data.
The Zero SR/F has been priced at 17,990 GBP (Rs 16.80 lakhs), making it a very expensive motorcycle. The premium variant of the SR/F is even pricier at 19,990 GBP( Rs 18.67 lakhs). And owing to this expensive pricing, the Zero SR/F won’t come to India anytime soon.
