- Black and white colour options cost Rs 3.25 lakh
- Expensive than the KTM 390 Duke and BMW G 310 R
- Bookings open at Rs 10,000
The Chinese two-wheeler brand, Zontes has announced the prices of its street bike, the 350R, for the Indian market. The blue colour variant of the 350R costs Rs 3.15 lakh while the black and white trims are pegged at Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). That makes it considerably more expensive than its closest rivals, the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R.
Zontes has bestowed the 350R with distinctive and futuristic styling. The front section looks robotic with a sleek and angular headlamp while the mid-section is too busy with a lot of sharp and chiseled panels. At the rear, there is a pair of slash-cut exhausts and a steeply raked tail section that is deprived of a fender. Now, in terms of features, it is equally fancy with goodies like keyless control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a five-inch LCD, and full-LED lighting. Even the fuel tank is sizeable with a capacity of 15 litre.
Powering the Zontes 350R is a 348cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out about 38bhp and 32Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It rides on jazzy-looking 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by 43mm USD forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, anchors are dropped by a 320mm disc at the front and a 265mm rotor at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.
Zontes has partnered with Adishwar Auto Ride India for its India operations, which also sells Benelli and Keeway offerings here. Moreover, we have ridden the 350R for a short duration and our first impression review of the bike will be up soon.
