Royal Enfield Bullet 350 [2012-2023] Summary

The Bullet 350 is Royal Enfield’s oldest and entry-level offering that is available in three different variants. The standard model features the original old-school Royal Enfield badging with kick starter. Meanwhile, the X models are available with kick starter and electric starter both along with other cosmetic changes over the standard variant which make them look slightly more modern.

The X trims of the Bullet 350 feature a blacked-out theme with only the fuel tank being the coloured component. The new variants sport blacked-out fenders, rims, engine, turn indicators, battery cover and side panels. Over the years, the iconic Bullet has evolved but still stayed true to its essence of being an old-school cruiser.

The Bullet 350 features retro dials with an analogue speedometer, ammeter, and a key slot on the console. It is powered by an air-cooled 346cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected mill churning out 19.1bhp of power at 5,250rpm and 28Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. This motor comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Bullet maintains its retro theme in terms of hardware with a single downtube chassis, spoke wheels, conventional front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, it gets a disc brake only at the front with ABS while the rear does away with a drum brake.

The standard variant of the Bullet 350 comes in green and black colour options. As for the X variant, the KS model gets silver and black colour options while the ES is available in red, blue and black paint schemes.

Royal Enfield Electra - Unstoppable Machine

      Siddesh

The Royal Enfield Electra 350 is incredibly outstanding in its segment, particularly when we consider its value and riding position. It offers effortless city riding for day-to-day use. Moreover, when discussing its aesthetics, it boasts of a masculine metal material being used instead of the cheapo plastic design that is being used on current-age motorcycle models. I don't think there's any need to make any changes to it. I truly love it.

Do regular maintenance change oil regularly as prescribed in maintenance manual. Every 15 days tighten main engine foundation bolts and other fasteners. Replace tyres every 15,000 kms to avoid punctures

      A timeless legend!

      Shubham Sadhuka

Bought this motorcycle in june 2021. I own the standard bs-vi variant. Initially i was disappointed as the infamous dug-dug of whatever was left in bs iv was now completely lost. This disappointment however quickly turned into the joy of owning a timeless machine that will stay in my family for generations to come. The overall character of the motorcycle remains the same. I have ridden the bs iii, bs iv and now own the bs vi and must say the bike has only improved in every iteration. The vibrations are very much reduced, better brakes and now also equipped with front abs, extremely good fuel efficiency thanks to the new efi set up and oodles of torque at every gear and every band of rpm. I have majorly used this bike for city commutes and long distance touring (max 800 kms in a ride) and i must say the bike performs fairly well at every situation. It feels a little heavy when you ride it for the first time but eventually the bike wears around you. Tyres are very good and though looks thin visually gives great cornering confidence.
Thinner tyres also help it achieve better fuel economy. The rider seats are extremely comfortable for long rides. Pillion seat is not that great and may upgrade later. Coming to the question everyone asks when i fire up the bike, "it doesn't have a self start? even splendor now comes with one!", let me tell you, even the kick starter is unlike any other motorcycle. If you know how the correct procedure to start this motorcycle it will start in one kick even in coldest of the mornings. This is mainly due to the fi setup as it does not need pre priming by kicks and the fuel pump does that job. Fuel efficiency is extremely good and is the major usp for choosing this over the classic or the j series engine. I get anywhere between 34-38 km/l in city whereas i have even got 49 km/l on highways when ridden sedately at 80 kmph without pillion. This figures were all taken by tankful to tankful method. Cost of servicing is on par with modern motorcycles. I have done by 1st and 2nd free service which was ₹1300 & ₹121 each. The only issue i feel is the excessive vibration that creeps in after 80 kmph which is a little bothersome. You cannot ride continuously above this speed as the foot pegs and handle vibrates. Tye motorcycle however easily crosses triple digits and overtaking even after 80 should not be a big deal.

The buying experience was good, the bike is very very comfortable during long rides, gives a mileage of 40kmpl on the highway if you haven't modified read tyre or any electrical or silencer, and servicing cost is almost 2k-3k after every 6 months which is affordable, the bike is only suitable who enjoy slow riding, not at all for those who enjoy sports bike.
