Got mileage of

30 kmpl

1. Colours - re chrome 500 has got unique styling and 3 elegant and subtle colours in combination with chrome - classic black, chrome graphite, chrome military green. 2. Engine and performance - motorcycle has got 500 cc electronic fuel injected engine that produces 41 nm of torque. 5 speed sequential gearbox with chain drive. 30-35 kmpl mileage. 3. Indication gauges - single piece analogue speedometer and electric power start. Warning lights for battery and low fuel. 4. Appearance - classic old school English appearance with elegant styling and accessories.5. Comfort - extremely comfortable seating arrangement without back ache due to factory made leather upholstery and design. 6. Pros - reliable and powerful engine. 7. Comfortable ride for long tours and leisure rides. 8. Too many ccs in that tight budget. 9. Cons - not feasible for short routes and traffic choked cities.10. Less fuel efficiency. 11. Spare parts are exorbitantly costly.12. Motorcycle shuts down if fuel sensor detects moisture. 13. It has got dual disc brakes.14. It has a classic design and underpinnings with chrome factor.15. Re chrome is a cruiser bike from chennai based 2 wheeler maker.

Tips for Royal Enfield Classic Chrome

1. The motorcycle needs frequent teflon coating to keep it shining like a shield. 2. On time servicing from the re service station with genuine spare parts and oils is must. 3. Battery charging as powerful engine throttle and headlight can drain the battery of bike. 4. Rectifying the wheel and bike alignment each time during servicing. 5. Engine tune up is must after long mountainous tours and rides.

I can tell everyone who wants to choose between classic 350 or 500 , see don't trust any other review just go for 500.. It's the real bullet, you can feel the riding pleasure and there won't be much vibration etc.. Only cons is the mileage apart from it.. you can't find any other fault in this ... Just go for 500 and feel the real bullet experience....

Engine issue in just 30k km, done re boring close to 15000rs, self start related debug, another 4000rs, ignition lock damaged, carburetor float issue, and list goes like that.. Very very unreliable poor jung of iron.2 time chain and sprocket changed already, Another funny idea by royal enfield is make a bike with majority of iron, and keep swing arm bush some kind of plastic or fiber, that damage every 7k run.

It is a good bike but it vibrates a lot after 100kmph. It's exhaust is also loud and also almost every part in motorcycle can be customized as your wish. You can add new lights turn indicators etc. It is too heavy which makes it difficult to get out from the traffic in cities. Pillion seat also optional.

Royal enfield show cases its bikes in pretty cool showrooms. Above all the engine sound while riding keeps you elated. Royal enfield gives its bike a tough and hardcore look while classic models seems to be cool. Not yet approached for servicing. I am happy to own this bike and it gives me pleasant feeling while riding.

  • Royal enfield classic 500 chrome review

    Sidak Singh

Pros-1) this bike is full of chrome which looks attractive and has zero plastic which will reduce the repairing cost in case of an accident. 2) the suspension of royal enfield is very good. You will not feel the bumpy jerks when the bike goes into the pothole. 3) the build quality of the bike is very good and is good for cruising. 4) the most important part is the thump that it produces. The bike has a unique thump which you will not get in other bikes. 5) a lot of accessories are available for royal enfield bikes. It means that there are abundant modifications available for royal enfield like silencers, filters, leg guards drl led headlights, endless varieties of wheels, alloy models etc. For a motorcycle enthusiast this machine is very good. Now these are the pros. Now we will talk about the cons. Cons 1)weak rear brakes. Though the front wheel has a disc brake but the rear wheel has a drum brake. So i am very disappointed with it. They should be rear disc brakes as well which are now available in gunmetal grey and stealth black models but don't have in my classic 500 chrome. 2) a lot of vibrations while riding between 90-100kmph. If you are riding at a constant speed your handlebar vibrates like hell so this a con. 3) no fuel gauge. The bike has no fuel gauge so i am very disappointed with this as it is the most essential feature in a bike. So according to me these are the pros and cons of royal enfield classic 500 chrome. Hope it helps.

Change engine oil after 3000 km, replace air filter after 2000 km if you are living in a dusty area or you can also clean the air filter. I would suggest you to use synthetic oil rather than royal enfield oil. After 8000kms please check your fork oil and brake oil levels and refill them if required. In every service make sure to clean the throttle body and fuel pump. After every 500km clean and lube your chain with chain lube oil as it will keep your bike smooth and will enhance the life of your chain.

    Thiyagu

I am riding since 7 months .I experienced a retro look and retro style bcz of chrome ,it shines when you are under sun-rays, it looks classic when you r under shadow more over it makes a man look classic and charming when riding it , you can give a retro touch by only adding extra silencer and removing rear seat ......When it comes for performance it is good compared to other re vehicles, but only thing is maintenance of the vehicle is bit tough compare to other vehicles , but for these retro looked bike that much maintenance is required ,or else it will be like other vehicle ....

I am riding since one year, feel like heaven. Looking different than other royal enfield bike. I will ride daily 70km no pain at all. I bought this bike green color looks like stainless steel no fiber. Sound and vibration little bit heavy in this bike. I suggest who bought 500cc bike then go for it. Thanks royal enfield to manufacture this bike to look royal.
