A dream bike. Bought the electra 350cc self start. The best bike for long distance rides. The feel is royal and the name says it all. You feel like a king while riding. I think it is the only Indian make bike to have a great export sale. Why buy imported bikes when you can get the best in India. I love this bike and wash it myself. I use it occasionally but treasure it a lot. People say that the maintenance is high but if you use it wisely then you have to only put fuel and keep riding.

Let's start with how I got this bike, As I am a 20 yrs old college going, I initially wanted a lightweight adventure motorcycle so I chose Hero xpulse (or a used Hero Impulse), but when asked my parents they didn't like my choice, so my father ended up giving me his old RE Electra (2009) from my his two motorcycle one is Electra and an old 1984 standard because both motorcycles were lying catching dust & rust. I started riding this motorcycle in winter this year, It used to take almost 20 min to start with kick And the clutch is so hard that my left-hand starts paining riding within 6-7 km, cannot ride it over 50kmph after that engine feels so stressed and their is so much vibrations on handle and footpegs, and talking about foot pegs the left foot peg is bit forward and the right is bit backward, so when i seating ideal on bike it's bit awkward position as left leg is bit forward and right bit backward and the last thing it only gives mileage of 17 km, while riding it i forget every pain or problem it gives, it feel's so special while i am riding it. so that's my review for Royal Enfield Electra (2009).

It's a old royal enfield the oil doesn't burn as much as it leaks , To avoid oil leakage try to put it on middle stand rather on side stand

The buying experience was not good as it took more than six months to deliver my bullet. Riding a bullet itself is a royal experience. It is made like a gun, power, pickup, comfort all well. Looks are superb and performance is quite low as this is 350 cc bike having a mileage of 35 to 45 kmpl is quite better.
Servicing and maintenance are much more painful as a lot of vibration, weight, and heavy use of metal everywhere.
    Pros
    Royal experience
    Royal look
    Pickup and comfort
    Height of the bike
    Seat comfortable
    Cons
    Servicing
    Maintenance
    Vibration after 90kmph
    Cost
    Good luck!
