25000+ kms review of theHimalayan 2021 BS-6 model
29 weeks ago
Risav Bose
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 is a versatile motorbike. I have been riding it for almost 3 years now and have completed 25000+ kms. Now, let me share my experiences from the scratch. The buying experience at the Royal Enfield Iblur Showroom was okay. However the sales guys here are helpful and I should mention that I got the bike delivered to me before the promised date which made me quite happy.I loved the rugged look of the bike and truly feel that it justifies its name. After riding the motorcycle on various terrains from city to mountains, forests and offroad patches the bike seemed to go anywhere and everywhere. "Built for all roads, Built for no roads", is the only tagline to define this bike. Performance wise I was happy but while riding on highways lacked a little power and felt the vibrations on the foot legs every time I surpassed the 90kmph mark on the bike but it is the sweet spot on this bike and you can comfortably cruise at this speed throughout the day.The general servicing cost is quite affordable considering the segment in which this bike falls into. The only issue is rusting (a very common Royal Enfield problem), engine stalling mostly due to faulty fuel pump and the tube tires. In conclusion, I must say this is a versatile machine that can take you anywhere but you need to take good care of it. Should you buy one? Definitely if you want to get hands on to your first ADV this is a must buy!

It's quiet on the expensive segment as per the specifications. But it's a killer machine. The road presence is amazing and has a great effect of aura on the people. The mileage is average (approx. 26kmpl). But totally disappointed by the services available at my place. Overall my experience is very good since it is one of my dream bike

I have never owned this bike but will surely buy this, because I love this bike's look-wise performance-wise moreover what I love is it can be ridden on hilly roads and Panniers with allot less maintenance. I have never seen any negative points in the upgraded model but I saw a few videos of previous versions that bike Handel comes out while driving but never experienced such.

great mileage

The Himalayan is easily the most anticipated motorcycle from Royal Enfield given its positioning as an adventure touring motorcycle. The Himalayan does make a lot of sense in that regard and Royal Enfield The brand needs no introduction to anyone who rides a motorcycle in the country Great, all should go for this bike. It looks good body is not bulky like other bikes. It is easy to ride on all roads it's really comfortable for long-distance rides and for daily commuters. It has great mileage on roads low maintenance and is less noisy.

Royal Enfield service is not good
Krishna
Service by Royal Enfield is really pathetic. I had instrument cluster issues after the completion of the 10000 KM reading. And a noise from the bike. For every service I literally beg them to fix both issues. They simply do regular service without fixing my problems. I changed 4 service Centers so far. Personally, I like my bike completed 34000 km now on it. I no longer want to keep running with my unresolved issues. selling it soon.

Terrible Royal Enfield Himalayan
Harpreet Singh
Initially, the company shows a great picture of this bike.My bike's engine failed in 11000 km itself. I was going to office and engine seized. Before engine failure I went to service center that I am facing low power problem. They checked the fuel pump and found some problem - so they replaced it.After 2 days of fuel pump change, my bike got seize. Although, all engine parts were in warranty - so replaced by company after 1 month. (Crank shaft, Piston rod, Head assembly, timing chain - were damaged).Himalayan is not a reliable bike. Now, after all this I do not have confidence for long rides. And, the good part is - Service center team says " Himalayan is having this issue very common".Pathetic RE.

Worst after sales service, no issues get fixed
1 year ago
Arijit Debnath
Worst service experience. Service center mechanics are hardly aware of the issues and half the time fail to acknowledge the issues. Most of the time parts are not available. Every day some new case comes to the fore. very high maintenance. Low quality parts and build. The service center hardly cares for any bike.

Well bought this bike for all purpose however the initial feeling was mix. Clutch is too hard after some time you will feel pain in hands. Heavy weight makes u feel confident on highways but tiring in traffic. Now its high time upgrade is needed sleeper clutch, weight reduction, traction control, cornering abs.

Read before buying himalayan

I have Himalayan bs6. In the span of two years, I had to change 1) speedometer 2) chain 3) front shocker oil seal 4) handlebar cone set and now my bike is down with 5) engine head and valve problem! could you imagine a two-year-old bike with not more than 15000km run worth 2.5 lac developed a serious engine problem! I'd recommend not wasting 2.5/7 lac on buying garbage. If you report any issue to the service center they simply reply "These are universal issues" "yeh problem toh aata hi hai himalayan me" bhai aaata hai toh resolve karo na ... Nahi toh mat becho bike!Seriously regretting my decision to buy himalayan. Will make others aware of the poor built quality of bikes.
