  • What it feels to own a royal enfield even after 6 years.

I got my classic 350 bs3 in 2016 . The bike came with superb build quality and a great thump at that time. Moreover with time , i grew up with the motorcycle… took it to places . The best thing about the bike is it’s sweet torque band and an amazing suspension setup. The ride is flushed and the parts of royal enfield are fairly priced . . Performance hasn’t degraded even a bit and i still enjoy the bike every morning. Parts are easily available and bike is a fair value to money if someone is not really into riding harsh .
Overall a fantastic product and a bliss for enthusiastic cruiser lovers.

    osm bike
    I use this regular use.
I am satisfied with this bike.
I am referring to everyone to purchases this bike.
I bought a classic 350 reborn in 2021, So I've driven it for over a year now. The bike is very comfortable to drive inside the city, Well maneuverable for even a moderately built person like mm. I am 5’10”, It is a comfortable posture. The best thing about the bike is pickup. At traffic signals, I pull the throttle and easily get ahead of her traffic. The gear changes are very easy and light. The mileage is also good, with 37-39 kmpl achieved, Which is impressive for a 350cc bike. To date, 3 services have been done at the Royal Enfield showroom service branch itself. They explained whatever was being done nicely. They even sent pictures of the service being done. However, Even though they say ‘free’ service, It only refers to free wash and labor charges. A free service will easily cost you 1300₹.In the 3rd service they mentioned some valve changes, The overall service cost 2800₹ which is a lot. One of the problems in the bike is the hard clutch and sometimes the gear gets stuck in neutral, No other serious issues like vibration. The stock exhaust has a very pleasant, Subtle thump to it, Which is enjoyable to the rider without disturbing the nearby people. Overall rating of the bike so far: 9.2/10

  • Great highway machine with stunning looks

I needed a bike that is good in power and mileage, Royal Enfields are not really good in terms of mileage but I was surprised by the new refined 350 cc engine, and surprisingly it can give me 35- 40 kmpl of mileage. The bike has quite wide tires which provide excellent grip and can be ridden on all terrains. The bike has 5 gears which is a bummer, 6 gears would be better so on the highway you can expect 80kmph of cruising speed. Overall if you want something that looks classic in terms of looks and also gets you in love with riding you can definitely go for this bike. But if you want a performance-oriented bike, you can consider Dominars or KTMs.

  • RE Classic 350. Best in its class.

    Aniket

Although I had to go to 3 different showrooms before getting the best deal and minimum waiting period (0 days), it was worth it. I had to choose between Classic and Meteor. After the test ride, it was obvious that if I ever buy a bike it would be a classic 350.
I wanted the Red Chrome version but found out that it doesn't come with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. I went for the Stealth black.
After getting the bike and matching helmets we went straight to the nearest petrol pump and got it filled. The ride was so smooth and the road presence this bike gives you is unparalleled. Even the cops acknowledge its royalty. The matte black stands out in the crowd and admiration is shared amongst the fellow royalists.
Even at 70kmph the bike is rock steady and smooth. I did want to push it much as my first service is still due. Maneuvering the bike in traffic is a walk in the park and the only time you really feel the weight of the bike is after you take it off the stands. Once you settle on the saddle, you don't feel any weight at all. Maneuvering the bike manually using only your legs seems daunting at first but you soon find out that this too is quite easily done.
The seats are awesome. The moment you sit on the bike you feel connected to it. It becomes like an extension of your body. You are in complete control sitting in an upright position and head held high with pride. The fuel tank is so wide and nice that my 3-year-old son fell asleep on the tank itself during a 12km ride. This speaks volumes about the refinements they have made to the engine and the overall biking experience. Even the pillion seats are wide and comfortable.
My first service is due in a few days. Maybe I'll revisit the post and give an update about that too. The best part is that the app tells you exactly when your servicing is due. Booking a slot on the app is a piece of cake.
All pros no cons till now.

  • What a royal bike this is

    Abhishek

Royal enfield what a classy bike it is. "one of the world's most iconic bikes", says one website, and they're not wrong. This bike has a powerful heart i.E. Its engine which is 346cc which generates very great power. The bike is made in India which is a very great thing about the bike because most bikes like this are made in America and japan.
Another great thing about the bike is that it has a six-gear transmission and you won't find many bikes with six-gear transmissions.
This bike has great fuel efficiency because it burns only around 2 liters per 100 kilometers or 54 miles.
This bike is equipped with an all-aluminum engine which provides awesome acceleration and also produces amazing power.
I drove my royal enfield through the township, on a day trip outside city limits. I didn't realize when I made the trip how much I would end up enjoying it.
Everything is the good only thing that is not so good.. It is heavyweight, with no led headlamp, rather than that each and everything is good. So if you're muscular and have enough money then just go for it.. You can drive this beast in every condition.

It's a very good bike in my life. And I tried it many times.
Riding this bike is too smooth as others which I had felt.
It looks very amazing and hard and the performance is the best.
    It's too easy to manage.
I can't explain its performance. It's unbelievable. It's running too smoothly.
As I thought it may be the best choice for anyone to buy.

  • Old world charm modern mechanicals and comfort .

    Mohammad Laiq Ali Khan

I went to a re-showroom in Aug 2022 and saw a just launched classic chrome red. I must admit that I was planning to buy a bigger bike like the interceptor 650 from re but the looks of the classic 350 chrome red were captivating and I bought it , almost on an impulse . I have not regretted my decision in hindsight.
I have ridden it for about 10000 km mostly for communing in traffic with an occasional long trip on the open highway . The first thing i like about the bike is it’s low-end torque, it develops about 27 nm at 4000 rpm but a lot of this 27 nm is available from very low revolutions. This makes it riding in traffic fairly easy , no need to rev the engine to coax the bike into action , it moves very smoothly on slight throttle inputs. Next good thing about the engine is its smoothness. It has very little vibrations, and they do not increase as you take the bike faster even to its top speed, which i recon, is about 115-120 kmph .
I have installed the re-accessory large windshield, large leg guards and aluminum engine guard. Apart from the fact that these accessories enhance the look of the bike , they are also functional, especially the windshield which keeps things comfortable for the rider even at speeds in excess of 100 kmph . I was tempted to buy the under-seat springs ( for that old-school look ) and touring seats but decided against them in the interest of keeping the cost down .
The bike returns an average of about 32 km per litre while commuting in peak-hour traffic on bangalore roads. On highways, with a retrained right wrist I was able to get around 40 kmpl . The fuel tank is about 13 litres . The yellow low fuel light comes up after 9 litres are spent. One good feature of bike is that once the yellow light does come up the tripmeter switches to ‘f’ (for fuel ) and tells you how much you have ridden after the warning light m. The digital fuel gauge is not accurate and last 2 or 3 blocks indicate fuel go off rather quicker than you expect .
There is no kick lever to start the bike but it is hardly needed as the bike starts up at the slightest twist of the wonderful rotary type switches on right handlebar. The quality of switchgear is good . There is also a usb charges provided to keep your mobile charged up on longer rides .
The seating position is comfortable where the rider sits upright and not in some aggressive crouched position. The front seat of the classic is large and provides ample space for the whole of the rear end of the human anatomy , i feel it is much more comfortable than its larger 650 cc siblings or other more aggressive bikes . Even on longer rides , one can stay in the saddle for a few hours without any significant adverse effects . I have not used the pillion seat much but i think it must be ok for shorter rides for the passenger . The aluminum clutch lever is slightly hard but it adds to the character of the bike , it is an enfield after all , not some plasticky light-weight japanese bike .
The speedometer is classic and suits the overall looks ( which are great in my opinion). The gear shifter is quite smooth and has both tow and heel shifter ( thankfully ! i can wear my formal shoes to my office without spoiling them ) . The gears slot in with a reassuring click , even downshifting is good , i did not miss the slipper clutch on this bike .
One of the defining characteristic of the bike is the glorious exhaust note ! it has been toned down somewhat compared to older models but it still remains music to the ears of the aficionados . The exhaust note is loud enough when the bike is lugging , like going up a slope or under hard acceleration but settles down to a mild likeable thrum on cruising .
One of my favourite parts of my daily commute is on my way back home when i have to negotiate a longish flyover .On other bikes i would be revving my engine to climb the incline and tempted to go fast , not on the classic 350 . I love the way the bike goes up in 3rd gear at a steady and torquey 35 kmph with nary a sign of stress on the engine and a glorious exhaust note for company , even when the traffic allows i find myself not trying to accelerate .
The one negative i came across my particular bike was that since the beginning the speedometer seemed to generate internal heat . The heat was so intense that the speedo needle used to melt and the plastic sheet on which the speed markings are printed also used to get unstuck warp . The needle used to malfunction and give false reading . The authorised service centre was prompt to change the meter console without cost but the problem persisted , it took 4 changes of meter and an expert from re electricals to finally solve the problem . Later i found that this issues randomly and quite frequently comes up with new classic 350s . Hopefully re has noticed and will rectify it in future bikes . I must add that re changed 4 meter consoles for me free and were prompt at solving it when i raised the complaint .
Here are my pros and cons of the bike
    Pros
    1) continuing great classic looks sans the niggles and vibrations of older versions. The chrome red version turns heads on the road.
    2) much-improved reliability and refinement.
    3) good fuel efficiency and reasonable power for sane riding, especially suited for a more mature rider.
    4) the glorious exhaust note, which has mellowed down but still remains potent.
    Cons
    1) while overall quality has improved there are some weaker points like melting meters and inaccurate readings. Some also complain about the rearview mirrors coming loose midway through a ride.
    2) while a tachometer does not go with the overall vibes of the bike, some owners would love to have it on the instrument panel.
    Sum it up.
It’s a great bike that stands out in the crown, is practical, comfortable and economical to maintain. If you are a mature sedate rider and need respect on the road, look no further.

Good! now the comparison is between bikes that are made to race. Like pulsar and Duke to bike which is meant for cruising. I have a Bullet 350 which my dad was using and now we are using. Last month I bought a classic 350. Now, I did read these comments and all these cons for the thumper but I would not care.
Who cares when any of these bikes race even at 130 km/h on a highway?
Who cares when they are giving you more mileage or some sort of reliability?
Who cares for these bikes after 5 years? They just cease to exist as bikes and you yourself will feel low when after 5 years the Duke which you were once so proud of is a grand decommissioned model and still an 80' bullet.
The proof the bullet is astounding is this blog and so many comments. The bullet may not be the fastest, the most reliable, or the most technically advanced. It may start with half a kick or it may take the life out of you kicking. But this is what makes it real, it gives it a personality. It feels real. Not like modern bikes fill it, shut it, and forget it. You care, you clean and polish the nickel, you go to the mechanic and he is just like your friend and you forget the world when you roar.
Now a very important thing I wanted to tell is why some people buy bullets and get some engine noise or some issues. Most of them are these pulsar riders. First gear, second gear, and zoom. Racing attitude. They try to make their bull which is 350 cc race with pulsars in close traffic signals. This spoils their bikes. The truth is bullet goes like an elephant. Once it catches speed it will keep on going. You can take it from here to Ladhak. But there is a way you ride.
Lastly, You buy a bullet not for need but for passion. Those who buy for need Will always want to compare. It's beyond your capacity to explain why the royal enfield is growing... We all need a friend and we all need to see India.Nothing better than a bullet.

  • What it feels to own a royal enfield even after 6 years.

    Rishu Narayan Singh

    Devendra Tiwari

  • What it feels to own a royal enfield even after 6 years.

    Rishu Narayan Singh
