Himalayan was always my dream bike. When i was finally about to buy it, scram released and after test driving scram 411, i felt for someone like me who drives 90% in city & 10% long drives/touring scram is best. Its all about handle. With 19 inch front wheel unlike 21 in Himalayan and no side handles, its super easy to maneuver in city and especially on bad roads, speed breakers it is very comfortable. Scram was built for some purpose, mainly for youthful design, more city driving and less to medium touring. I bought silver spirit which is my favorite. Obviously there are things to improve: lighting, tripper as standard, missing tubeless tire(that's subjective). Its almost pricing as Himalayan. Definitely they can reduce price by 5-10k.
My view on design: Himalayan look is Himalayan, scram can't be compared with it but scram is more youthful less serious motorcycle. There are people who say its almost like Himalayan without windshield. Yes they want to keep Himalayan look almost same but more towards easy city driving. Small difference like these can make huge difference. Obviously with same design - more models, companies make huge margin. Himalayan and scram are same as iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 pro & 13mini.

Pros: Surely underrated big torque model. Worth the price. Feeling very comfortable on long rides. Providing 35 kms at highways and min 22 on streets.
Cons: stock ceat tyre life is up to 13k kms. The gear shifter getting hard after 10k kms.
Defect only on my bike: The engine shuts after riding 42 km at full stretch and have to wait 30 minutes to cool the engine to start again

  • The Bike's look is eye-catching

I own a Graphite Blue Scram 411. It's been more than 6 months since I am riding this bike and so far, it has been a wonder. I'm 6' tall and the bike is the perfect height for me as well as the body. The Bike's look is eye-catching and the riding experience is totally worth the price. As for the mileage, it gives 29-30 kmpl ( For those who think it's low, it's what you should expect otherwise buy a normal bike).

One more noteworthy thing is. While riding on a rough road ( holes and potty road), you won't feel a thing. Great suspension as compared to other bikes. U can use it for a long journey too. I'm being told that the mileage will slowly increase but so far I'm happy with what I have.
One shitty thing is. They will give you the basic Royal Enfield helmet with the bike. Buy a good one.
If you are considering to purchase this bike, go for it. You'll Love it.
    Just an honest review.

Royal Enfield Bikes - Engine Noise and Service Issues
Owning a Royal Enfield bike can be a mixed experience, and many enthusiasts have raised concerns about the brand's engine noise and service quality. One of the primary issues reported by Royal Enfield owners is the persistent engine noise, often described as a "tapped noise." This sound is not only annoying but also raises concerns about the engine's longevity and overall reliability. The iconic thump of the Royal Enfield, which many riders adore, seems to be overshadowed by this irritating noise, making the riding experience less enjoyable.
Moreover, the service provided by Royal Enfield has been criticized by numerous customers. Many have complained about the unprofessional attitude of the service centers, lack of proper maintenance, and the inability to effectively resolve recurring issues. Despite multiple visits to the service centers, the engine noise problem often remains unaddressed, leaving owners frustrated and dissatisfied.
The combination of these issues makes it challenging to recommend Royal Enfield bikes. The appeal of the brand, which is often tied to its vintage charm and robust build, is significantly diminished by these practical drawbacks. Potential buyers should weigh these concerns carefully before making a purchase. While the Royal Enfield's aesthetic and legacy are attractive, the consistent reports of engine noise and subpar service are significant drawbacks.
For those considering a Royal Enfield, it might be wise to explore other options or wait until the company addresses these prevalent issues. Customer feedback suggests a need for the brand to improve its quality control and service standards significantly. Until then, the romantic idea of riding a Royal Enfield might remain just that – an idea better appreciated from afar rather than experienced firsthand.

  • Neither bad nor great!

    Bala

I have owned this bike since July 2023. Big fan of Himalayan and that triggered me to buy this scram 411, because I was gonna use it for both city and long trips. First impressions were great and the bike did very well for the first 5000-7000kms within 3-4months. Then the issues started one by one because of poor service from RE. I can assure you that the RE service team will destroy your motorcycle and its condition. Currently, my motorcycle crossed 17k kms in 11 months and have changed both my tyres. I've been facing a wobbling issue since 9000kms and it's still there even after aligning wheels and spokes.

  • Worth it.

    Vinay

The first time I laid eyes on the bike while picking it up, I felt a bit overwhelmed by its size and weight. Riding such a massive bike in Bangalore seemed like it could be quite inconvenient. However, the Scram amazed me with its ease of handling; it wasn't exactly beginner-friendly, but still surprisingly manageable. As I rode back home, I started getting acquainted with the motorcycle, and I found myself adjusting to it quite well. I'd have liked a tubeless option.

    Surya

Pros: Surely underrated big torque model. Worth the price. Feeling very comfortable on long rides. Providing 35 kms at highways and min 22 on streets.
Cons: stock ceat tyre life is up to 13k kms. The gear shifter getting hard after 10k kms.
Defect only on my bike: The engine shuts after riding 42 km at full stretch and have to wait 30 minutes to cool the engine to start again
