Got the bike from the garage cafe in baga.Comparing it to thunderbird 350, thunderbird x is more comfortable.Suspension is rigid. It is still one of the best looking royal enfield bikes.Getting mileage of about 35 to 40 km/l.The handlebar was short so I got a standard thunderbird handlebar. Overall a great bike. Now thunderbird is called a failed bike in the Indian market but you will not regret owning one.Great value for money.

Royal horror thunderbird

A horror purchase. Own the bike for 5 years but problems began from the first year itself. Wheel chromes are very poor in quality and are peeling off easily. The meter stopped working within a year itself, wherein the meter lights fail out during monsoons. Wheel chain is a horror in this bike. I have had to replace it already 4 times in 5 years. The Dipper flash button failed after the first monsoon itself. Requires a lot of maintenance. Would recommend staying away from this vehicle instead opt for a yamaha make if you feel ok with this type of mileage. Too costly against the quality of material used to make this bike. Absolute disaster. Forcibly giving 1 star too.

Don't purchase or you empty your pockets more in maintenance than in fuel.

Powerful machine with worst quality

Riding experience is good, comfort for long rides. But pillion ride comfort is a nightmare, small seat not comfort for pillion rider and is very danger because it doesn't have any support for the pillion rider. Looks are good and stylish, red color is quite attractive.. Sometimes vibrations makes your hand painful.. Service maintenance makes your pocket empty :1. Every six months you have to change clamp of your odometer.. 2. Once meter console stopped, and it requires around 10k to change it.3.Chain is getting loosen even if we lubricate for every 2weeks.. 4.Rust is the main issue, even there is sound from the silencer, because of the rusted shells inside the silencer. Build quality is very poor. 5. Nowadays petrol overflow through carburetor is a common issue, even servicemen don't know how to handle those issues 6. Highway mileage is impressive (above 40kpl) while mileage for city ride is around 20-25 km/l7. Better to avoid services from authorized dealers, they are looting us by charging unwanted things, better to consult local repairing workshops which are familiar to us...
