We owned a Suzuki Access 125 (2014 model) for nearly a decade and considered replacing it as the performance degraded and the engine started giving problems. My wife is the primary user for a daily commute of around 20 km.
We shortlisted Activa 125 and Jupiter 125 other than Access 125. My wife liked Jupiter 125 due to be ease of filling petrol from the front and boot space. The showroom staff was very courteous and professional. However, when I did a test drive it had a lot of vibrations even when still. The showroom guy said it was due to the Fuel Injection technology. So, we dropped it.
Second was Activa. It is well built and the price is competitive but the agent did not offer a good price for our old scooter. Also, perhaps due to the market leader position or some reason the staff interaction was very casual and unprofessional. This is the second time we have come across such a behavior. Dropped this one too.
Last on our list was Access 125. We saw the models/ variants and did a test drive. The engine felt very smooth and had almost no noticeable vibrations. The agent offered the best price for the old access compared to Activa and Jupiter and we could bargain some discount (5k) as loyalty.
The buying process was smooth. We could see the stock and pick the scooter of our choice. They offered to put and show the seat covers to choose the one we liked. We tried black and brown and selected brown.
There are a lot of Pros and some Cons. I will highlight two major CONS that I noticed.
CONS:
1. FIBER body. Unlike Activa which is majority metal and Jupiter's half metal body, Access has a majority fiber body.
2. FUEL CAP: The external fuel cap of Access 125 is in the rear and must be fully removed to fill the petrol :( There is no remote unlock not press to close. (My father's TVS Wego 2013 model has external filling and push to close facility). Suzuki has failed or deliberately not included this feature when the same exists in Avenis.
In my opinion, all the scooters are more or less the same. Just some factors we should keep in mind are what are our priorities and are we meeting them. Never buy to impress someone else.
Drive safe and responsibly.
All the best!!!

Tips for Suzuki Access 125

Simply press the ignition button alone. DON'T accelerate while doing self-start.

Booked in the afternoon, got delivered in the evening. Good performance, and good mileage. The eco-ride light on the instrument cluster is very helpful in controlling throttle behavior. Adding a pass switch and keyless fuel cap would make things better. Needs a drain hole for boot space, Rest everything is fine.

I got my Access 125 in 2016, a special gift from my dad. It's been an amazing ride ever since. Smooth performance, great fuel efficiency, and super comfortable for daily commutes. The ride quality is fantastic, and the classic design never goes out of style. A truly reliable first scooter and I am still driving the same machine.

I love this scooty I bought in 2017 after that I merely incurred 2000 per year in maintenance.
I love its handling. When I ride on my scooty.
I feel like I am riding a luxurious bike
And I think that everyone should opt for their first preference to buy this scooty.
In future, I will never go with any other option
Even in my family and contacts, I suggest everyone buy this scooty as it has comfortable handling and mileage just like its dialogue kam peeta hai.

  • A Good scooter with minimal issues

    Yogeswaran Jayakumar

After 1 year of riding experience posting this review. Good pickup and a smooth ride in the city with a good space in front for keeping more things, good boot space to keep a helmet and other things. Both Rider and Pillion have a good seating capacity, Suspension is average. As all users complained faced a self-start problem within a few months . Even after multiple services, the issue was not fixed. During traffic wait time will be frustrating due to this self-start issue. (can be overcome by starting with the front brake). Faced an Idling issue post some months and after service was fixed. Sound will be heard always in the rear wheel and the service centre never fixes it. Feels the service cost is also pretty high nowadays. And lastly talking about mileage tested many times and gives an average of 30-35kmpl only. So consider the pros and cons of buying this Scooter.

  • Worth for money but service not upto mark

    Saikrishna

After 10 days of purchasing, getting sounds while riding and when gave it for service they told me that it was just a normal sound but it was like a bearing sound, fuel cap was also a problem and while riding it automatically got off. Service is the worst and unable to get the spare parts. Even after changing the engine oil, getting the oil change indicator.

The Suzuki Access 125 is one of the top-selling two-wheelers in India according to the latest SIAM sales data. The Access 125 offers practical features which include a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, higher under-seat boot space, LED headlamps, turn-by-turn navigation, trip sharing and last parked location and an external fuel cap. The two-wheeler is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 8.7 PS and 10 Nm. With the latest update, the Access’s engine feels better and more refined.

  • Worst service experience

This is to get an idea for people who are willing to buy this vehicle in the future, all the features in the vehicle are good but if you get any problem and go to the service center they don’t rectify the problem and send the vehicle to you need to go to service in a week after your service, last time when I went to service I have mentioned about tire and brakes issue the said that they will rectify and I left, after completion did the service I have gone and check the vehicle and found that they have not changed just cleaned and changed the engine oil and said that there will be no problem with tire and brakes but after few days the got big puncture and I got stranded in the empty road, and the disc pads and discs are completely worn out now I have to change the brakes set completely

  • Worst service experience

    Sai Krishna Kishore Mandava

  • Suzuki Access 125

    Surya K L

Booked in the afternoon, got delivered in the evening. Good performance, and good mileage. The eco-ride light on the instrument cluster is very helpful in controlling throttle behavior. Adding a pass switch and keyless fuel cap would make things better. Needs a drain hole for boot space, Rest everything is fine.

    Akash

I got my Access 125 in 2016, a special gift from my dad. It's been an amazing ride ever since. Smooth performance, great fuel efficiency, and super comfortable for daily commutes. The ride quality is fantastic, and the classic design never goes out of style. A truly reliable first scooter and I am still driving the same machine.

  • MY Lovely Scooty

    Hanish Kumar

  • Self started problem of a 2 months car

    Subhankar Pramanik

On 2nd September, I bought Suzuki access 125. After driving for 1 month I went to get free servicing. But after that, I faced a self-start problem.. I have to start by kicking .. Whenever I stop my scooter, its self-start is not working anymore. I don't know why happens after free servicing.. I want to change the battery of my scooter and want a proper scooter without any problem..
