The GS150R is a 150cc offering from Suzuki Motorcycles India. It was introduced in November 2008 as Suzuki’s first model in the highly competitive 150cc segment in India. The motorcycle perfectly fits between the commuter class and the premium class in the 150cc segment.
The GS150R is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine producing 13.8bhp of power and 13.4Nm of torque. What’s unique to this motorcycle is that the engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox for better cruising performance on the highway.
Standard features on the GS150R include GSX-R-derived engine rpm indicator lights, electric start, stylish five-spoke alloy wheels, LED tail lamp and integrated rear turn indicators similar to ones seen on bigger displacement GSX-R motorcycles.
The GSR150R gets a hydraulic single disc at the front while the rear braking is provided using a drum unit. The motorcycle is available in three colours – Pearl Mirage White, Candy Antares Red and Glass Sparkle Black. The GS150R competes against the Yamaha FZ-16 and the Honda CB Trigger in the highly competitive 150cc segment.
The ARAI mileage of Suzuki GS150R is 56 kmpl. The average of the GS150R is 52 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

I wish Suzuki India would not have discontinued this bike, If it still is manufactured I won't have even a single bit of doubt about buying it again. It's a long almost 14 years of journey and experience with this bike. Never ever have I thought of any other bike. When I used to hit the highway its pickup and handling still impresses me.

I Bought 2013, a 2013 bike new feel had chosen this based on past experiences on the same so was never in doubtRiding comfort is unmatched to dateInspires confidence with the perfect center of gravityDon't compare it with the RCs or YZFs but among the mere mortals, it's a God, a humble God who has been betrayed by its modest looks. The city ride is good with nice. low-end acceleration but boy it loves to be on the highways being smooth and comfortable at 60000 rpm and with the 6-speed gearbox.Familywise, the pillion rider is very comfortableVery informative instrument cluster with an analog rpm indicator and a digital console with gear indicators, clock, fuel, riding modes, and speedo and odoComing to the tricky part, Service.....honestly it's up to the service centers and mere mortals working there, we need to find a good mechanic who knows the bike.Fuel economy is 40 to 45 depending of course on how you ride and rev the engine.Reliability is another plus for SuzukiAlternatives in the market the package is so complete that I bought an R3 to satisfy myself. In the given category, a dream of the beast is just irreplaceable. I would have bought the same thing again had Suzuki continued selling this.Appeal to. Suzuki is to bring a BS6 version and I will be a customer again.

My first bike

I'm using this bike last 14 years and still using it. I can say it's a maintenance-free bike. More than 95000 km completed. No problem at all to date. Amazing mileage approx 50 plus after 14 years. At top speed no vibration in the handlebar. The only issue is with spare parts. Long waiting period for the availability of parts in the local market.

Having used this bike for more than 2 years, I find it to be the best 150cc bike in this segment, fuel-efficient, and value for money. The average mileage on a daily basis is between 50-55 on 15-20km daily use. The Suzuki gs 150 r's engine has excellent performance without vibration, I enjoy riding this black beauty every day. :)

The beast for man

Actually, this is my second review of this great bike. The advantage of this bike is its weight of 149 kg with 6 gears. It is said that riding this bike in a congested city like chennai is an uphill task. But the reality is just the opposite. Even in bumper-to-bumper traffic and in the 3rd gear, one can move freely. Its 4th gear is ideal for city riding. On the highway, things are really marvelous. After 4300 rpm the bike runs very smoothly. I bought this beast in 2015 and now I have completed 82000 kms. So far, I have replaced clutch plates, chain sprocket twice, twin throttle cable, choke cable, and clutch cables also replaced twice. One must remember that service at the right place is absolutely necessary as far as this bike is concerned. Because spares are available only at the showrooms themselves. Finally, suzuki motorcycle has discontinued this bike for no reason at all. There is no other bike like this to replace with a new one. This is the bike that has a gear shift indicator, clock, fuel gauge, tachometer, speedometer, low fuel indicator etc. As a lover of this bike, I expect the similar one in the future from suzuki.

This is a good bike for daily usage. I have a 2012 model gs150r. This bike has good stability and riding comfort and mileage is also good according to a 150cc bike. Stylish look also. Good suspension and incredible performance in 6 gears. The seating capacity and fuel tank capacity are good. It looks also like a sports bike. As per my experience, it is an awesome bike for daily use. This is my request to suzuki for the relaunch of this bike again.
