Suzuki has committed to developing its motorcycle range in the 150+ segment. They already have the Gixxer street bike and the Gixxer SF, its fully-faired sibling. The cruiser format is represented by this, the Intruder. The name, as well as the styling, is derived from the M1800R, the cruiser that among other things, had the widest rear tyre on a production motorcycle when it was launched.
The Intruder shares its powertrain with the Gixxer – a 155cc single-cylinder motor with fuel injection that pumps out 14 bhp and 14Nm and comes coupled to a five-speed gearbox. The rear tyre on this motorcycle is the widest in the segment, at 140mm, and that feeling is echoed when you sit on the motorcycle – those tank extensions make the Intruder feel a whole lot wider than it is, and it thus feels like a whole lot more motorcycle as well. The seat is also a lot wider than a standard seat, but it is very low as well, offering confidence and comfort to the cruiser aficionado.
The Intruder does look odd from certain angles – that tail lamp and surround echoes the lines of the GSX1300R Hayabusa, but most people will not pick that bike for design inspiration, to begin with. The exhaust design looks great from a distance but up close the daylight behind the mesh at the tip doesn’t look good. However, if a modern 150cc cruiser is what you’re looking for, you can’t currently do better than an Intruder on both looks and handling.
The Intruder has three paint options: Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, Metallic matte Black/Candy Sonama Red and Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Matte Titanium Silver. It also adds a pillion backrest to the motorcycle.
Suzuki Intruder 150 Fi is available in the following colours in India.
1/3
Metallic Gray / Metallic Matte Black
Double Tap to Zoom
The average of the Intruder 150 Fi is 42 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

My love my suzuki intruder

I bought this beauty in june 2021 from the apple suzuki showroom, near devegowda petrol bunk, bengaluru. The tipping point towards the intruder was the riding comfort and the proven engine with great mileage. I bought this as a daily office commuter and to undertake occasional rides. The daily approximate ride of 130 km (two ways) was a breeze. There never was fatigue and i was fresh in the office. And please note it's definitely a head-turner. I had done some modifications after i purchased the intruder. They are 1. Led headlamp instead of halogen one and a switch for killing the headlamp. Only the led ring below the headlamp will always be on. This has resulted in great battery life.2. Installation of fog lamps with switches. The one i got from adishwars, lalbagh, is a dual colour one (white & yellow) and it works great at night.3. Got installed one jaw-grip waterproof motorcycle mobile phone holder mount with fast usb 3.0 charger. I strongly recommend this to everyone who is looking to add a charger to their two-wheeler. There is also a wireless variant available if you are looking for one. It is great to hold the mobile and the grip is strong even on bumpy roads.4. Installed a luggage carrier (back + two side mounts) with a taller backrest for the pillion rider. Some jugaad has to be done for the pillion seat to get it locked.5. Installed pro performance parts, easy tags-highway foot rest, which serves two purposes - one when my daughter sits on the tank and another when i'm driving long distances, for resting our feet.I had these modifications done over a period of two months. During that time, i was doing short road trips (150-200 km one way) and the intruder was very comfortable and fun to ride on. Nothing to complain about. In December, i undertook my first long-distance road trip on the intruder (Bengaluru - goa). A total distance of 600 km and i have completed the journey in 10 hours. In the morning, i left my house by 6 am and i was in my hotel in goa, by 4 pm. In this ride, i have faced some problems with the engine. By the time i reached goa, the engine was making heavy noise and was also getting very hot. I suspected the valve time change and i have taken the two-wheeler to the service center in goa and they confirmed the same. They said, there was nothing to worry about and i can drive back to Bengaluru, with some additional rest stops. I was not willing to take the risk and i came back on the train. Also, there was some fatigue after the long drive. The seat needs more cushion for long drives.Except for this, my experience with my intruder is top-notch. Mileage i'm getting 38-40. The bike is fun to ride on. The top speed i have touched is 122 kmph. The engine is very smooth in the range of 90 - 100 kmph. Above 103 kmph it starts to make some low noise. The bike is very sturdy on the road and as mentioned it's a big head-turner. I will recommend this bike to anyone who is looking for a cruiser with a budget below 2 lakhs. I was ready to upload some pictures of my intruder, but there was no option.

Reality check towards Suzuki cruiser

Sahib Chopra
From buying till riding it on tours sometimes this bike turns out to be a complete disaster and sometimes worth buying it . Its been my 2 year ownership for this bike and i can easily say that this bike is somehow overpriced we are getting the same engine that of gixxer and the entire body is made of fiber, although suzuki claims that they have used a high quality fiber but differ because the bike front fairing was not able to with stand a little impact as well. This bike have a major heating problem i purchased this bike in the month of december and after the first service only i sometime felt heat at my legs but i thought it may be due to the fi engine because fi engines produce more heat as compared to the carburetor once but as the time passed and summers came heat from engine started to increase and sometime even you can smell burning smell this heating problem would have solved by the company if they have used oil or liquid cooled engine instead of air cooled.Another is the mileage company says that the bike will easily gives a mileage of 44kmpl due to fi engine but you will get a mileage of 30-35 kmpl in city rides. But the mileage goes off the chart when take this bike on tours i myself have experienced this bike giving the average of 50-55 kmpl on highways.Being one of the cheapest cruiser bike available in the market i can say this bike won't let you down of long rides but just you need to find a nice service center for your bike service because after sale service of suzuki is very poor as they will never clean your fuel injector in any of the service and when you will ask the provision for cleaning your bike's fi they won't be having any answers at the end of the day you need to purchase an after market fi cleaner only also the company recommends 4t synthetic engine oil for the bike but you wont find the same engine oil with most of the service centers and they will only have the engine oil that is available for scooty and if you ask the service guy that you will bring engine purchased from local market they will straight away refuse and will say if you try to do the same they will cancel your engine warranty.

If you can't afford hayabusa then must go with this beast...

I bought this bike by it's look... I thought it would be heavier but it's so comfortable to ride with easy to handle... And it gives great mileage with almost 50kms...Pros : it's very light but at the same time it gives you hayabusa feeling... People gonna stare your riding... Must go for it...Cons : it could have been better front brakes...

Handles quite well for a cruiser, has best-in-class features, motor impresses in fuel efficiency and refinement. If you're someone who is looking for an imposing cruiser with the added benefit of improved fuel efficiency and don't want to compromise on quality, the suzuki intruder 150 fi is your answer.
