  • Honest Review after 25k kms

    Arjun

Here's my honest review. I have been using this bike for over 1.5 years and have driven it for 25k kms.
Pros: Smooth engine. Super comfortable and wonderful machine for touring. Return good milage in both highways and city. (Above 30 in city traffic)
Low maintenance in terms of filter and engine oil.
Clutch is a bit stiff and riders under 5.7 will be bit uncomfortable as the bike is tall
Cons: Out of excitement I missed doing a predelivery inspection. There was a knocking sound from the front shocks when breaks were applied or when i used to hit a pothole. I brought this to the mechanic's notice at the very first service and I have approached them for the same issue 5 times. Every time they would just tighten some nut and return the bike saying it's fixed. Last time they replaced the coneset still the sound came back after a few hundred kms. I'm frustrated with Suzuki's service. I commute is mostly on highways and traffic never off-road. I wonder how many issues might arise if I go for off-roading.
Next is quality of switches: all switches stopped functioning properly after 10k kms. They never replaced it even after complaining several times. I'm facing this issue from reputed service centres from both Udupi and Bangalore(Karnataka).
Another issue is suspension is too stiff and the suspension travel is low. Your arms get punished each time you hit a pothole.
The worst part is resale value for this bike is too low. Incase you want to sell it Good luck with your task 🙂 as market is flooded with 2nd hand vstroms with low demand

The mrf tyres are really good. Even though I am an enthusiastic rider i got a milage of 23k kms out of my back tyre. Front is still usable over 26k kms. Go for xpulse break pads. It will cost half price and same performance. Use motul engine oil (Suzuki's native engine oil make your engine lose refinement)

  • The perfect bike.

    Atit Desai

I bought the bike immediately after it gets launched. The buying experience was amazing the S. P. Suzuki Kandivali dealership had a superb salesman.
Riding this bike in the city or highway is amazing its light, fast, stable, and wonderful seat.
The yellow colour is vibrant and different and its stands out in the crowd. The bike looks awesome.
This bike is good for all kinds of roads. On highways 100 / 120 km/hr is smooth. You can ride for hours on this bike without any problems.
The service experience is not that good for me had some paint-related issues but all got resolved by Suzuki.
    Pros
    Lightweight
    Great seats
    Good breaks
    Handling is good
    Good mileage
    Good pickup
    No vibration
    Refined engine
    Stable at top speeds
    Cons
The front suspension travel is just 120 mm which is less I think and it's stiff.
The silencer design could be better.

the engine is super smooth. I got 40 km on the highway.
The low-end torque is fabulous. easy to handle
best for touring. suspension is not up to the mark
It is far better than Himalayan It has the best Suzuki oil cooling technology, and engine cooling is not a problem
The ergonomics of the bike are good. The digital instrument cluster and Bluetooth connectivity help the rider.

    Buying experience okay.
Engine is good and very soft tuned, riding is not a problem for taller guys (>5.9")
Looks very big and height, can be used for daily commuting as well as touring, for adventure like things this is not best bike since suspension is not upto the mark
Pros : good engine, easy to handle in traffic, good torque, riding on this 250 machine is joy, riding angle also good.
Cons : bit costly, suspension and brakes could have been better.

    Shyam

Suzuki will hit higher sales this year from this bike, eagerly waiting to buy this year-end, suzuki is always good in reliability and engine refinement and high range of fuel economy, one can easily trust suzuki engine and go for it when it's compared to bajaj or ktm engines which have most serious issues of engine head knocking even 2 of my friends faced the issue when it comes engine tech no one can beat suzuki and honda.

    You Never Know

The gear shifting initially is very hard but after the first service it gets smoother and performance is very good in the city and at highways. I have a Yezdi Adventure too v Strom's better than the Yezdi as it's a smaller engine and gives more mileage compared to the Yezdi but it's not suitable for extreme offroad pretty decent power which is sufficient for city and highways and decent mileage at both.

  • Don't go with reviews this machine packs power for a quarter ltr bike

    Akash

As far as the reviews and myself owning a couple of adv bikes, this engine is punchy, well low and mid-range power as it directly derived from the gixxer 250 which can clock a top speed of 150(may differ on body weight of rider) could have given spoke wheels and the front fork to be at least 2-3 inches taller, and the fuel capacity to a 15l, but never the less, still a good motorcycle, as mine was the first booking in karnataka.

Incase you want to sell it Good luck with your task 🙂 as market is flooded with 2nd hand vstroms with low demand

the engine is super smooth.

    Vinay K

  • The best touring monster

    Prakash M

The best touring monster, I feel very very comfortable while I'm riding it too long drives, it's getting all people's attention on the roads I feel like ok I'm not wasting money, not boring while riding too long every gear shifting is very surprised I'm impressed
    Cons
    No hazard lights
    No liquid cooling system
    Engine very noisy
    Ladies foot rest missing
    Center stand missing
Because it's a too high price to compare other bikes. Other brands give all features at low cost...
