  • Triumph Speed 400: A Blend of Comfort and Style

    Prateek Shirke

I recently had the purchased Triumph Speed 400 from Shaman Motors, Nerul. Sales excutives and staff members have professional behavior.
Whether you're navigating city streets or hitting the occasional highway, this bike has some noteworthy features. Let's break it down:
    Pros:
    1. Distinctive Style: The design of the Triumph Speed 400 is subjective, but personally, I find it captivating. The sleek lines, well-integrated components, and attention to detail make it stand out in a crowd.
    2. Top-Notch Build Quality: Triumph has spared no expense when it comes to craftsmanship. The fit and finish are impeccable, and you can feel the solid build as you ride. It's reassuring to know that this bike is built to last.
    3. City Comfort: The Speed 400 excels in urban environments. The ergonomics are spot-on, providing a comfortable and upright riding position. Maneuvering through traffic is a breeze, and the suspension soaks up bumps effortlessly.
    4. Performance Sweet Spot: The Speed 400 delivers impressive performance up to around 6500 RPM, especially when cruising at speeds around 100 kmph. Beyond that, it starts to lose its edge. If you're content with a relaxed pace, this won't be an issue.
    Cons:
1.Soft Seat: While the plush seat adds to the overall comfort during short city rides, it can become a bit too soft on longer highway stretches. Consider taking brief breaks to alleviate any discomfort.
    2. Fuel Gauge Quirks: Unfortunately, the fuel gauge isn't the most reliable companion. Keep an eye on your odometer and plan refueling stops accordingly.
Final Verdict: As a first-time buyer in the 150 CC+ segment, I'm overall satisfied with the Triumph Speed 400. It strikes a balance between style, comfort, and practicality. If you're seeking a bike for everyday use with occasional highway jaunts, this one won't disappoint.

  • Great bike with poor service center experience

    Anupam

Good buying experience, great riding experience, poor service experience. They expect experiential bike owners to come for free service in 45 days. Enfield gives a clean 90 days. The bike power pickup is super but sometimes it stops midway in decent throttle. This a problem even in the test drive bike

Buying experience: was good until I payed the money after which they did not even give me good information about my bike status later when I put pressure with the help of one of my friends who had more knowledge about this I got my vehicle after 14 days ( was promised within 6 days)
Riding experience: amazing overall no problem at all till now, with the vibration after 6k rpm would be little control but other than that no issues
The looks are stunning and the performance till now no doubt is outstanding, the confidence the engine gives during overtakes and highway stretches is just fabulous
Service and maintenance: I have only done first service so about that I would say no issues, had a minor accident where my read footpeg was damaged they charged 350 ruppes just to change one . Washing is just 250 I get it done once a month with chain lube clean
    Pros:
    400 cc in budget
    Quality
    Agility
    Cons:
    Vibration
    Lack of connectivity
    Seat comfort

I owned one of my best choices, I like it cause didn't give up on any bad road condition in good road is the best and with standard ABS.

    1) I was exited when Triumph announces this 400cc beast for most affordable price. And immediately i have booked and waited for 1-1/2 month to having this Beast Triumph Speed 400.
    2) I was taken this triumph Speed 400 to ride more than 350 kms. The ride was amazing. Sharp corners and bends its absolutely amazing to handle. Worry free gear shifting. More comfortable than other bikes in this range.
    3) Looks absolutely top notch in this segment. Retro look it's a kind of triumph signature look you're having and you will feel it. Throttle Response is you can feel it immediately when you're shifting gears. Speed and handling surely you will love it. Dual channel abs does it's works. And for comfort cruising front and rear suspension does its jobs smoothly.
    4) Triumph provide you service your bike for every 16,000 kms. Maintenance wise as usual, after long drive check for radiator oil level, break oil, engine oil.
    5) Pros- 1) Price 2) Performance 3) Handling 4) Material Quality 5) Suspension
Cons- 1) limited Dealers and Service center 2) After reaching 110 you will feel mild vibration on the handle bar

the bike's performance is so good in the performance side you love the bike and milage is could be a major issue the milage is around 21 to 23 which is expensive to maintain for example the triumph side light cost around 14 k the spare parts all imported so there cost bit expensive and front light protector around 6.5k and engine guard around 6k the bike is very good to use and you have simile on face when riding but spare parts are so expensive and fuel indicator is dumb nothing useful always show low fuel there are some cons but the only nice thing is good to ride bike and brakes are also very responsive ok this is helpful to you I think this are pros and cons

the bike's performance is so good in the performance side you love the bike and milage is could be a major issue the milage is around 21 to 23 which is expensive to maintain for example the triumph side light cost around 14 k the spare parts all imported so there cost bit expensive and front light protector around 6.5k and engine guard around 6k the bike is very good to use and you have simile on face when riding but spare parts are so expensive and fuel indicator is dumb nothing useful always show low fuel there are some cons but the only nice thing is good to ride bike and brakes are also very responsive ok this is helpful to you I think this are pros and cons
