I took a test ride of the Scrambler 400X today and here's me comparing it to my NS400Z. First of all the engine now you might think both are the derivatives of the same engine and there will not be a whole lot of difference that's exactly how I was thinking before I rode the 400X. it is on another level the NS is no match to what the engine of the 400X does it pulls so effortlessly and just puts a big smile on your face. The engine is super refined and the cherry on top is the exhaust note of the 400X. when you are pushing the bike at high rpms it just roars and the feeling is something that you have to experience yourself to understand. Next up are the brakes. now we all know that Pulsars have tended to have a little bit of brake fade even when it's new right out of the showroom and I am sorry to report that the NS400 is no exception to that...but the brakes on the Scrambler is nice and the front has a good bite to it which makes confident when pushing the bike at higher speeds and the abs works well for city conditions. The suspension is a bit stiff on both the motorcycles but the Scrambler having a longer travel and a bigger wheel feels a little bit more comfortable than the NS400 also the seat on the Scrambler is of much higher quality than what you get on the NS. Now to the looks what I feel is the NS is a bit repetitive in its design with bits looking like you have seen them on the NS200 as well but the Scrambler 400X is fresh in its look and feel and appeals much higher than anything on the market right now with added pride from the "TRIUMPH" badge on the bike. The only thing that I found difficult was to manage the 835mm seat height....with me being 5'8 I was only able to tip-toe it while it was manageable but I would want to get at least the front of my foot down to call a bike comfortable which I can do on the NS rest of it is good and appeals so much that you just want to get one. What I feel is that for ₹3.10 lakhs you can't get anything better for your money. The only two bikes that come close are the Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 ADV but both the bikes are considerably more expensive to buy and also to own. At the end of the day, it is you who'll make the buying decision and I hope this experience of mine helps you in choosing the right motorcycle for you.

I am not the owner of a Triumph bike. But today in my Ichalkaranji city, I saw these beautiful machines staring at me very happily. I felt that these bikes were screaming at me and telling me Bro lets, go on a long ride with them. I felt these bikes were more appealing and attractive. I suddenly stopped my Splendor bike, and I headed towards Triumph Bikes. Then I took a short walk around these two bikes, mainly the Scrambler 400 and Speed 400, in front of the Badshah Bajaj showroom. Till now none of the bikes caught my attention so appealingly and Fastly as these two bikes grabbed my attention and I felt that they were calling me for adventurous lifetime rides with them. The 12-minute walk around these bikes was so engaging that no other noise even disturbed me. I felt the design of these bikes is very FLAWLESS and FIT AND FINISHING IS SO INCREDIBLE. The engine looks very impressive. Branding is very fabulous. But these bikes have bulky looks, and they don't look like other common bikes. If someone asks me what the definition of BIKE is? Then I will only suggest him to go watch and feel The Triumph Bikes.

Got this beauty on 30th November and have done 600km in a week. Feels super smooth on all types of roads. Can’t wait to get the first service done so that I can unleash the beast and enjoy its actual power. Grabs a lot of attention on the streets all because of the build and its soothing exhaust note. Have done 100kms at one stretch and the seating position and comfort make you not take a break at all.

The Scrambler 400 X looks built for a purpose from the first glance, Further, a dual-barrel exhaust muffler is reminiscent of flagship scramblers from the British brand like the 1200s and 900s. The exposed frame also adds to the rugged appeal of the motorcycle, One of the best things about the new-age Triumph is its overall build quality since it has been built by Bajaj in India.

I don't think I've to repeat the exact same thing that the online reviewers said good about this bike, I stand with their opinion. What I have to share is the things I didn't expect from this bike. The first thing is the headlight, the visibility is poor and if it rains it gets worse, especially on roads with portholes, you can't see something that is 5 or more meters away and the ride confidence in night is very low. The second thing is the muck that gets thrown into the pillion seat, I was riding in the night for more than 100 kms in the rain and after the journey, I saw the muck splashed over my pillion seat, maybe it was also splashed into my plastic raincoat. It is not a bike for the monsoon. The third thing is the most hurtful thing, the build quality. The bike is premium, there is no question about it, but once during a daily ride I lost my balance on a slippery road (any bike would have slipped the road was under repair and was raining) and was reclining to the left. I was able to hold it almost 80% and then I had no choice. The impact of 20% got a bend on my handlebar, it is not expected for a bike of this price range and which is meant for scrambling.

Take the test ride, you will love it.

Superior Build Quality from a Superior Brand

It’s worth the money you spend. The build quality is the highlighting feature of this bike, Triumph has set a standard for all other manufacturers including India and others not to sell cheap or medium-quality materials on their products, it’s notable that many Indian and other manufacturers focus on 400- 450 CC segment as their premium segment still fails to deliver quality products at the same price range with triumph’s entry-level 400 CC machines. It may miss out on many features that others offer, but still at the end of the day how many of us use such fancy features in our daily commuting or our touring days !!? I suggest relying on the quality of the bikes rather than going after poor-quality machines with a lot of features.
