For Rs 2.63 lakh what does the Triumph Scrambler 400 X bring to the table? In terms of its competition, it is more expensive than something like the Scram and the Adventure 411 from RE, but it still is cheaper than something like the KTM Adventure 390, even the base model. It still makes a very compelling case for itself in terms of an overall package because it offers you what you would want from a motorcycle of this sort both on- and off-road with the switchable traction control, ABS, the slipper clutch, ride-by-wire throttle, and it rocks the boat in the 400cc scrambler segment as it stands.
Of course, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X isn't a hardcore off-roader, and I have my doubts about it being a good distance tourer as well, but l will reserve that judgment for a later day. Now what it is, is a fairly simple motorcycle whose specifications are geared towards catering to enthusiastic and adventurous riding styles in true Scrambler fashion. And if that's what you're looking for in a motorcycle that offers great value for money, this is one quality machine that certainly won't disappoint.

In love with the power available on tap. My average speed is now higher than what it was earlier as the Scrambler loves to pick up speed on demand.
The power delivery is very linear and not scary. A lot of reviewers have suggested that the sweet spot for highways is between 100-110, I felt that the bike is least strained between 60-80km/hr.
The seating is higher so the view over traffic is much better than my old commuter.
The bike actually gives the feeling of riding a big bike but is nimble enough to glide through traffic.
The matt green khaki color is a looker.

Just got the bike 3 days ago. Already ridden about 500kms. It is an exceptional machine. The build quality, the smoothness, the power, the handling, the suspensions are superb.
The only Cons are the dash is very inaccurate, the speed is wrong, the distance to empty is wrong, and even the fuel gauge is wrong. You cannot trust it. Also, the headlights aren't that great, my suggestion is it comes with a headlight grille, open it when touring. The brakes could have been better.
Otherwise, the bike is as advertised, the reviewers on YouTube said that it vibrates after 120, tbh I haven't noticed any vibrations. It is an absolutely smooth ride. If you are looking at the Himalayan 450 and Scrambler 400x, get the Himalayan if you want to hit the highways only, it is quicker, can hold a higher cruising speed comfortably, better for hitting offroad trails too. But get the Scrambler 400x if you want to commute within the city, do light offroading on weekends and hit the highway, it is a better all-rounder bike.

The buying experience was amazing. We went to the Kolhapur showroom at 1:30 pm on 30th July 2024 & we received our Scrambler 400X by 6:00 pm the same day with the registration number plate mounted. Riding in the city as well as on highways is just a pleasure. Looks outstanding. Fit and finish amazing. Performance is outstanding. The service network needs expansion as from my home service station is 115Km. No cons.! Enjoy the pros. Felt in love with this bike.!
