Decision to buy this machine was easy after the first test ride & getting any colour was not an issue as everything was available without waiting. The first thing that struck my mind after riding this bike was "this is it!!! this is made for me!"riding experience can't be shared in these pages as i will be completing lakh kms in near future & lots of memories are connected with my rides in different terrain.Anyone driving it once will admit about the fact that this machine is built to deliver performance. Rtr is a great bike within it's price range & similar engine segment. You can easily commute your daily needs of transport but giving a twist on throttle let's you know why it is named as rtr. A perfect balance according to Indian roads in all aspects, having a good margin for higher ground clearance adds to the benefit.I own this bike from almost 9 years. Driven it for almost 93k kms. And engine overhaul for 3 times, yes you read it right! i just had my full engine overhaul recently with every single part replaced inside my block. It depends on your riding habits & how you maintain your machine. Although parts cost & maintenance is not so high for a common man. Also, i had some bad experience with the company service centres. For which i had to suffer & end up with the final engine surgery. I have used my apache more as a tourer including daily commute. It is comfortable for long rides(driven for 25 hrs without sleep). Of course it was not possible just because the bike is comfortable but it also takes your will power to achieve the target.Everything in this world is not perfect & so is the case here. A more efficient performance could be drawn by using a fi system instead of carburettor for 180 model.Engine oil recommended grading is not sufficient for long rides as it lowers the level when driving continuously.Unwanted noise is encountered from the front cowl i have experienced in every apache. So these maybe some cons which i think are common with these range of two wheeler. The bike's a all-rounder, as you can race-tour-commute-off road(sometimes), etc. To end up we can simply say, you get a nice racing machine with this price tag which can stand apart from other bikes.

Tips for TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

Change engine oil per 5000 km.

I've taken it to the Shillong Circuit, Menchuka for hardcore offroading, and Tawang. The bike works like magic.
Found issues with the service quality, which makes me regret buying the bike sometimes.
Negative things could be that the quality of the parts could have been better, and as I said, service centers could be better in terms of service quality and parts availability.

I bought this bike on Jan 21 up to 15-16 k km it was ok though its maintenance cost is high. But in the last 18 months, it was like a nightmare for me. Too many electrical problems with this bike. Low torque is very bad, from the beginning itself it has had a clutch short problem. I ride this bike around 24.5 k km and have spent more than 50k for its maintenance in the last 4 years.

  • Worst experience after buying this tvs apache 200 4v bs6 bike.

    Shivang Fofandi

I bought this bike on May 2022 ,at the time of buying this bike it took 1 week after booking and they told you will get bike on time but I didn't, after that for servicing whenever I go they say you have to book an appointment at least one week ago,and now after 2 years of usage whenever i go for services they add unwanted cost that you have to replace this and that all labour chargers and once now when I have given bike for servicing they say that you have to give some time that parts are not available we have to issue it and it took 15 days for that after that I just received the bike from servicing they made a bill of approx 9500rs and told me that there was a harness wiring issue that you have to pay for it I also paid and after receiving the bike I just ride the bike for 30min and again same issue was there so I again got there and they told me you put your bike here will check and now they say that you have a sensor issue that also need to replace and that cost also you have to give of 2500 rs so never buy tvs bike, worst experience never buy tvs models. They just fool you and you don't have other options because BS6 engine bikes have many sensors and you can't go to the local garage to repair them because the parts will be also not available with them, so never buy tvs bikes.

I just bought a TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, and I really like it. This 200cc streetfighter bike is a lot of fun to ride. It's got sporty performance, a feature-packed design, and an attractive price point. I just had my TVS Apache RTR 200 4V serviced, and it was cheap! It cost me around 1000 rupees, including labor, for every 2300 kilometers. I use the engine oil that they sell at the showroom. I am getting a mileage of around 42 km/l.

This is the best 200 cc bike .Highly recommended .The Apache 200 was always one of the best motorcycles in the 200cc segment and all the updates it has received for 2021 come together quite nicely to make it even better.

The bike feels planted at highway speeds and is extremely sharp around the twisties.
