Apache 150 cc 2006-08 model a leopard still roared...

      Md Nadeem Khan

It was 2006-07 when i purchased tvs make apache 150 cc, the advertised that time played on tv channel was cheetah endorsing apache 150, the brand was catchy and it was launched in 150 segment by first indian bike manufacturing company tvs, competing with many foreign companies maker like honda (hero honda that time), and yamaha. The bike design was really sturdy and the ride was smooth compare to many other models and became popular with many youth and of course that time i was also youth. Riding experience was no less than a cruiser sailing in the sea , smooth , balanced and comfortable. That's was i think only with the model of apache 150 segment ( first model). The apache 150 2006-07 model was like a bull and it's sturdy looks still make you crush for it, later the company changed the look in their 160 version and gave more sporty and racer like look to the bike, the performance of apache 150 cc was more refined than apache 160 rtr which later lacks smoothness and balanced ride compare to former version. If you say, what is best in ride i will suggest go apache 150 cc , you can call it mini version of former bullet model. Can take load and still run with care and smoothness.A quarterly service or half yearly servicing is enough for an apache 150 cc 2006-07 but yes when it comes to repair a part/parts , a spare part costs a cut in your pocket. Hence i will suggest go for a quarterly servicing , that will be best to prevent huge repair or maintenance cost. Pros: 1. Smooth riding 2. Strong engine 3. Sturdy look 4. 5 speed gearbox. 6. Low maintenance. Cons: 1. High repairing cost 2. Poor instant speed 3. Digital meter absent 4. Frequent wiring problem.

Apache 2006 bike is my life time bike now i have over came with 1.2 lakh kilometre ride on my bike. Love you tvs. What a bike from tvs . Thanks for your engineering craft design with excellent pricing. Last but not least the pricing of spares are absolutely genuine and very competitive with honda or yamaha.

Best city commuter powerful bike with affordable budget

What you’ll like:• styling packs almost appeal. Engine, electrical, brakes are well-designed , but still there is a scope for improvement in clutch and gear department• frugal and sturdy bike. • balanced ride and handling. Superbly tuned suspension• effortless to drive in the city and easy to park in tight places; lots of fun in city traffic• tvs excellent after-sales service & wide dealer network and available of spare parts.• price of parts are affordable and the parts quality is good.• dual horns is adequate in highways as well as in city. • battery back and electrical are upto mark• suspension is ok still scope for improvement• tyre size is tool small when compared with the competition bikes. What you won’t• the 5-speed manual transmission is not very smooth gear shift • though the service centers are available there is huge rush and queue irrespective of the service center location and tat on service is also going high year on year.• small single seat, not comfortable for long distances both for rider and pillion riders• focus if headlights need to improve not adequate in highway driving, hope the new series vehicles are better headlight beam• there is a need for complete revamp of the platform since the height is very low when compared with the competition bike.

      My first bike

Buying experience:-the beginning launch of the tvs apache 150 cc which was 150 cc was so cool and i got it within 1 month and i was so curious to see it

Riding experience :- good and comfortable riding, road grip is so good and it saved my life 2 times because of its height and length it was perfect for me as my height was 5.71/2. In all way i can say it was good to handle apache as i compare with all other bike which ever i ride.

Look/performance:- it was stylish look at that time and performance i already told it was my best.

Maintenance:- i can say it was maintenance free vehicle compare with other bikes in its range. Very less maintenance amount i used to spend and it never allow me to suffer like stopping in between and ever troubled me.

Pros: good, perfect, stylish look, better performance.

Cons:- back disc brake was not there when i bought..

      Awesome bike

      Naresh.Tirthani@Gmail.Com

Tvs apache 180 is a awesome bike. Bike pick up is too high and high speed is 133 km on highway. Its look like a dominar, reasonable price as compare to dominar or other 180 cc bikes. If u want yo enjoy the long ride. Buy the apache 180 cc. This has a double disc brake bike, instant braking at the time of emergency,
