About the Reviewer

Ridden for (If Owned)

5000-15000 km

Its been almost 4 months and I have clocked almost 6K Kms. If you are planning to buy this bike, make sure that you take a test ride.
PERFORMANCE
Performance figures are kind off Ok, however, it has enough punch to keep you in the top of the line. Acceleration is linear and top speed is around 165. It will reach 150 pretty fast and then it will start climbing. We can comfortably cruise at around 120kmph. Never think about getting close to KTM 390, Ninja or an R3. Depending on the rider, it will manage to catch up with Dominar400
MILEAGE
Coming to mileage figures, in highways, I have managed to squeeze out something near 37 by doing 70-75kmph most of the time and being gentle with the throttle. Normal city riding will return around 28-30kmpl. If you push it really hard, you will end up in getting something near 25kmpl or even lesser.
HEATING
The heating is well-controlled, I haven't faced any serious heating issues till date.
BREAKS
Coming to breaks, I will say that for this kind of performance, it's kind of average, both front and rear lack initial bite, the front break have decent progression and the rear break lacks progression as well. In simple words, we can say the rear break is kind of poor.
BUILD QUALITY
The Fit and finish of this bike is top notch. The bike itself feels very premium. We won't be able to see any panel gaps or rusting issues. Overall, it outshines every competitor in terms of quality.
RIDE QUALITY & HANDLING
This is where it feels the best. It's a great handler. In corners, straight lines, in very low speeds, it really holds the line very well. It seems to be heavy, and in the paper as well it weighs 174KG, but when you ride it, you feel like you are connected to this machine right from the go.
Ride quality is good, it will absorb bumps and holes pretty decently, best in the segment for ride quality. Even the riding posture is comfortable once you get used to the riding triangle.
MAINTANANCE
Service cost is high compared to ktm and bajaj and yamaha. Still its managable. The service quality seems to be good but it varies according to the dealership. So if you have any plans to buy this machine, make sure you have a good service station near by your place.
ENGINE REFINEMENT.
This is the place where I got disappointed. There are rumors going around as they have completely fixed the vibration issues, but it's not true. It feels better below 4.5k RPM. However, once you cross 5k RPM, the vibration will creep in, you will be able to feel the vibration in handlebars, footpegs and seats, its not too much but its still there. The wind shield vibrates like hell and it makes a buzzy sound between 5k-6k RPM. The vibration tappers out once you cross 6k. I mean the vibrations are still there, but its less.
The engine also makes some noise similar to tappet noise.
Overall, it's something that we can live with, don't expect super refinement with no vibration (Thats what the review says).
OVERALL VERDICT
Overall, it's a value-for-money machine with killer looks, best-in-class mileage, decent performance and features, and great handling. The tft display is crisp and is something that we like to look at.
If you are on a budget and looking for an all-rounder bike that can do daily commutes, touring, and track days, then go for this.

Tips for TVS Apache RR 310 [2020-2023]

Do not miss any services. Do the service on time, and maintain the chain and sprockets at least every 800kms.

One of my friends has an Apache RTR 310 so I have TVS Apache bikes experience. Apache rr310 Looks expensive but budget-friendly bike. Very classy for college students It looks like a very luxurious sport bike. Black color is capturing people's attention and the sitting is also very comfortable. TVS service center available in India in large numbers so we easily access.

    - Very hard to find spare parts
    - TVS technicians are not adept at servicing the bike
    - Pillion comfort is very poor

  • The best powerhouse for daily use.

    Amarendra Nayak

I can easily say this bike is an eye-catcher for sure, the looks, the feel and the riding experience are just awesome. If you're not used to the riding posture you might have some pain in your palms and wrists but it's up to the rider.
The only thing I think it lacks is mileage because it gives me around 23-26 kmpl of mileage in the city while riding at a decent speed which is good but somehow I would expect 28-30 kmpl.
For track and sports mode it's around 22-24 kmpl if you ride at decent speed.
Overall the bike is just a powerhouse.

  • Eye catching design

    Angel Kebin

The buying experience from the showroom was okaish, the bike is comfortable I upgraded to a Honda Activa bike. Bike is excellent for cruising. Like 100- 120 kmph. Bike is eye-catching everyone looks at your bike when you ride it. Punchy engine. Half power is suitable for city riding and full power for Highways. After some time riding it feels like little underpowered.
Although overtaking is flawless. reaching 100 kmph is easy but after that little lagging. also, I live near the city but few people own this bike I don't know if may be because of brand value issues. The bike build quality is solid also. Sometimes people think of it as a proper 600cc bike due to its size.

  • An EPIC 365 Days Journey with my RR310

    Mahidhar

Buying Experience is pretty Avg. The showroom guys messed up the visor while fitting and then when I noticed it during PDI they replaced it with a new one immediately. Apart from that everything was smooth. The riding experience is truly amazing, and I know there's a bit of vibration post 5k RPM, but it's more of an Apache character and I like it that way. Also, the suspension is superb, handling is amazing, Credit to Michelin Road 5 tyres and Bybre Brakes. Looks & features are segmented best. Performance is decent for the price with a speedo indicated 168kmph. The headlight throw could have been better for night rides, especially since RTR 310 has the best lights now overall. Riding modes is a big plus. Servicing cost is a bit more costly than other bikes in the 300cc segment, but Service quality could be a lot better, especially in terms of the way they treat you and handle the bike during service leaves a lot to be desired. But if you can manage to have a friendly relationship with a mechanic it'll be easy and simple. Maintenance-wise milage gives 20-25 in the city depending on riding and traffic, on highways one can expect Avg. 25-35kmpl (based on roads, cruising speed, and throttle inputs). I even achieved 38kmpl (80-90kmph cruising) on the highway which is great for 310cc. The gearbox and clutch could have been better for sure. Looks, Value for money, Features, Decent performance for everyday use and occasional touring, Decent tank range (250-300kms), Riding modes, Michelin Road 5 tires. Vibrations can be troublesome for some people, not so great exhaust sound (compared to other TVS bikes and CB 300R gives the best sound in my opinion), a Clunky gearbox and clutch, During aggressive downshift rear wheel slips off even though the slipper clutch is present, Avg. Headlight throw at night for touring.

Best looking motorcycle in its segment. The best thing About this motorcycle is its engine, what a beautiful sound it makes. Good road presence. A little bit of vibration, it wasn't a problem while you rode but it's there. Good TFT display.

    Jay Shimpi

The overall experience of this bike is excellent, it is an eye-turner. Absolutely gives a superbike feel. This bike on highways or open roads is madness.
There are only two negatives about this bike.
    1) Mileage- it gives roughly 25-28 km.
    2) Pillion seat comfort- Due to its superb sportiness we have to compromise with the pillion seat, it is manageable for short rides but one cannot manage to get the windblast and small seat.

It would have been better if they had provided Google Maps integrated with it.

  • Disappointed with TVS service for their flagship product

    Arun

    Pros:
    - Good engine
    - Great looks
    - Fun to ride
    Cons:
    - Extremely poor servicing
    - Very hard to find spare parts
    - TVS technicians are not adept at servicing the bike
    - Pillion comfort is very poor
    - Wear and tear is very high, and needs frequent servicing
Overall, this is not an everyday bike. It's good if your taking it out once in a week for long rides.
