Hi Reader, I would like provide a brefie review about my brand new TVS Jupiter 125. This will give you an better understanding of this bike and it will help to make disicions if you are willing to buy a new scooter.Model: TVS Jupiter has multiple models. Base model has drum brake, next model has disk break and third model has disk break with further enhancement in feature like map assistant, premium seat with back support etc. So I'm a family person with Wife and 2 kids ( elder son is 5 years and second baby is 1 year) hence I was looking for a bike with wider seat, large boot storage, high weight bearing capacity, high mileage in nominal price, hence I prefered disk break TCS Jupiter 125.Features / Pros:As I mentioned in my previous note, It has below features1. Disk Break (Model based).2. Large Seat ( Even easy for a big family).3. Large Boot space ( 2 helmets with some items is possile to carry).4. Auto Mode On/Off Switch (Engine with auto off if the bike is not moving for more than 20 seconds. This is beneficial in Traffic to save Petrol). [There is a big catch in this point. Which I will highlight in Cons section]5. Hand Break (Much needed when we want to park the scooter in slanding paths)6. Helmet remainder while starting thne vehicle (Though it's just a static one, I appreciate).7. Side Stand Indicator.8. Engine Off when Side Stand is On. (I do have a Con here, we will discuss)9. Charging Port.10. Petrol Input is at front (So no need of getting down and opening the boot space like other old model scooters.)11. Clock Time.12. Eventhough we are having self start, there is a Kicker.13. Echo mode and Turbo Mode. (If we raise the accelaretor too much suddenly or Speed needle crossed 60KM/L, Turbo mode will ON. else it will be Echo mode).14. There is a Error Symbol in the screen which will ON if there are any error/backup recovery happening in the scooter. This is a much important feature out of all, since it will show light whenever motor things there is a error in the ISG / Powerbackup [Here also one catch, will discuss in the Con.]15. Low Petrol Indicator.16. It has been providing better mileage of ~56km/l.17. Cost of the bike is lower than any other bikes with 125CC.Cons:Out of the above feature, there are Cons as below1. Auto Mode On/OFF made my vehicle Off in Trafic but when I press the break and raise accelrator, igintion should On but in my case bike always went to Error Mode and due to that no other option was not working including strtaing the vehicle. Due to this I faced serious issue in main roads of Bangalore. This happened immediatetly once I the started raiding the vehicle. I informed the Showroom people / Service Guys but no one accepeted this. After a serious fight, they accepted that there is an issue in Jupiter 125 new models ISG, which made the vehicle to Error Mode !!!!!!I was shocked since it was a brand new vehicle and failure in ISG is a product bug. After I replaced ISG under Varenty and now it is working fine. So if any one is going to buy new Jupiter 125, please keep in mind as this problem is very random and you might also be one among them like me.2. Side Stand was not working within 2 weeks of Purchase:Side Stand was always on ON due to that engine was not started. Even we pushed it to up, it was going down automatically. It is also an issue with the quality of Jupiter 125 and I lost the confidence on the quality of TVS products nowadays.3. Eventhough I bought Disk Break model, breaks are working as Drum only. Even after 1st service still it is not upto the mark. Due to this break weakness, I met an Accident and my bike's front chrome and silver panel are broken. I didn't get parts easily from TVS and still one part is pending to repair due to the lack of pproduct at TVS.4. TVS Service:The service was very worst and they won't accept the issues that easily. They will try to convience you as much as possible and if you fight to the core and provided more and more proofs lively then they will accept and fix it. So they are able to fix the issues and accepting the issue is a real concern.5. When talking about Engine performance, Initially vehicle provided loud noise while driving. After first service, now the vehicle is smoother than before. These are my own experience and I'm not saying you will also face it but this is was happened to me.
Tips for TVS Jupiter 125
1. Definetly change the Oil after 500KM. 2. If any Error shown in the display immeditely give the vechile to Service center and ask them to check for ISG issue. 3. Buy a disk break model as Disk breaki itself working as Drum so I'm not sure how Drum break with work.
Find out the list of available TVS Scooters.
The ARAI mileage of TVS Jupiter 125 is 50 kmpl. The average of the Jupiter 125 is 49 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.
Worst experience with TVS

I have purchased the TVS Jupiter 125 2023 model. Initially, the feeling was good. But from 2nd month I started getting issues first issue was the vibration and the second was when I accelerated there was a shiver initially then the scooter moved smoothly. I have reported all the issues to the service center but every time they say ok they will check and resolve but it never happened after multiple times I decided to show the scooter to the outside mechanic to resolve the problem. I gave it to one of the known mechanics to check then he also tried his beast and said one bolt on the rear side was wrongly fixed. He tried to fix it but it was not resolved permanently finally I got pissed off after 24k km driven I decide to sell it off and sold it and purchase a bike

The King of Scooty's

This is a wholesome, feature-loaded, no-nonsense, and most practical scooty out there. With a mileage of about 55 kmpl, and best-in-class performance according to me, or my ride preferences. Easily touches speeds of about 90 - 95, on empty city roads and braking is also very good. The best part about this scooty is its boot space, you will get addicted to its use daily, very large and has the best USP. The front fuel filler cap, after 3 years of use, has started giving some issues, but I am very sure that can be very easily fixed or replaced at a TVS service centre. The service charge is about 1.5k, every 4 - 6 months, including oil change, which is not that much needed. Basic braking and oiling, etc will do as a service. With its all-new Jupiter 110 2025 , where TVS is giving all digital and upgraded feature set and better design. As a Scooty it has become one of the most easily available and preferred scooty, giving a punch in the face to Activa, its only competition, as people still very much believe in its (honda activa ) engine reliability. But I can vouch for even TVS's engine reliability.

Don't buy New TVS Jupiter 125 Disc. Experiencing Horrible vibrations
6 weeks ago
Ramesh
Please don't buy the New Jupiter 125 Disc. There is a serious manufacturing defect with these bikes because it is giving more vibrations. Better go for Suzuki or Activa. Bought it 2 weeks ago. Clocked 145 km on Odo. Not at all satisfied.Issues: It is vibrating like an old royal Enfield bullet. There is no proper fit and finish with panels covering the handle. We noticed later.TVS company is not doing proper quality checks before delivering the vehicles to the dealership.I noticed a chassis & handle bent(Manufacturing defect) at the time of taking delivery then I fought with the dealer to give the other vehicle. They gave me another vehicle but I am facing vibrations now. I totally regret my decision to buy TVS Jupiter. For most of the same model scooters, there is a manufacturing defect with the handle. One of my friends also faced the same issue later they replaced the part. I have come across online complaints saying the vehicle is pulling to either the left or right side while riding which is related to the same defect.

TVS Jupiter 125
Vijay
This is my 9th attempt to visit the TVS service center due to huge vibrations during the slow movement of service staff. not able to address the issue and repeating the vibration issue, poor experience from TVS brand and service. A few of my friends have raised the same concern about Jupiter 125 but the company has not fixed the issue.

The King of Scooty's
Mohnish Randive

Value for money scooter
Shashidhar Reddy
The scooter is pure value for money, Its Very large underseat storage and convenient petrol filling location opposite to key slot. Mileage is also good at 40-45 kmpl. The seat is long and very comfortable for large adults. Quality however is not up to mark, plastics feel flimsy and built on a tight budget some chrome body parts have faded and developed cracks. Service Overall a decent product.
