    Ishan Mishra

I bought this bike in Nov 2021 and covered over 50000km in the city as well as highways with a max trip distance of 450km in a day.
Good things:- Nice lower-end torque, and mid-rpm torque. Give good pickup and ease in overtaking without downshifting.
The awesome suspension setup feels soft and comfortable.
And best mileage with a good pickup motorcycle in class.
It looks and feels like riding a 160cc.
The least maintenance cost like brake chain is 40k and the service cost is 1.1k average.
Bad things:- poor headlight, i have to get a Maddog foglight setup worth 8k to overcome this.
Leg guard is a waste, every time the bike falls it impacts the handlebar, the levers, and the footrest. So I installed a crash guard.
The rear tire has no hugger so mud splashes on the pillion as well as the rider. So installed an aftermarket hugger.
Poor quality pillion seat. Installed aftermarket one.
Poor quality rear shock absorber. I had to change 3 in the 10000 km gap
The Comby braking system fails when it rains.

  • TVS Raider 125: One Year On

    Bhavin Babariya

A year ago, I decided to invest in the TVS Raider 125, drawn by its promising blend of style, performance, and technology. Over the past 12 months, this bike has been my trusty companion, handling everything from daily commutes to weekend getaways. Here’s my detailed review, capturing the highs and lows, and the emotional journey with my TVS Raider 125.
    》 Buying Experience
My buying experience was seamless. The dealership staff were courteous and knowledgeable, guiding me through the bike’s features and answering all my queries patiently. The test ride confirmed my decision, and the paperwork was handled efficiently. The bike was delivered on time, and my initial interactions with the service team left me feeling confident about my choice.
    》 Design and Build Quality
The TVS Raider 125 boasts an aggressive, sporty design that turns heads. Its sharp lines, muscular fuel tank, and sleek tail section give it a dynamic look. The digital instrument cluster is a highlight, providing clear and comprehensive information. Over the years, the materials have proven durable, standing up well to daily use and the occasional long ride.
    》Performance and Handling
The Raider 125’s 124.8cc engine delivers a balanced mix of power and efficiency. Whether navigating city traffic or cruising on the highway, the bike performs admirably. The acceleration is smooth, making it easy to keep up with traffic, and the bike handles corners with precision. The suspension system, which absorbs bumps effectively, ensures a comfortable ride even on uneven roads.
    》Comfort and Ergonomics
Comfort is where the TVS Raider 125 truly excels. The seat is well-cushioned and spacious, providing ample support for both the rider and pillion. The upright riding position minimizes fatigue, even on longer journeys. The ergonomically placed handlebars and footpegs enhance overall comfort, making the Raider 125 a reliable choice for daily commutes and weekend adventures.
    》 Features and Technology
The TVS Raider 125 is equipped with a host of modern features. The digital instrument cluster includes a gear position indicator, fuel gauge, trip meter, and service reminder. The LED headlamp and taillight improve visibility and add to the bike’s aesthetic appeal. The bike offers two riding modes – Eco and Power – allowing riders to choose between fuel efficiency and performance.
    》Fuel Efficiency
The Raider 125 delivers impressive fuel efficiency. In Eco mode, I consistently achieve around 60 kmpl, making it a cost-effective option for daily commuting. This efficiency is a significant advantage, especially with rising fuel prices.
    》 Daily Routine and Emotions
Every morning, as I fire up the TVS Raider 125, I feel a sense of anticipation and excitement. The engine purrs smoothly, promising a reliable ride ahead. The seat, comfortable and supportive, ensures I start my day without the dread of discomfort. The fuel tank's capacity means fewer stops at the gas station, allowing me to focus on the ride.
Navigating through city traffic, the bike’s horn is adequately loud, ensuring I'm heard when needed. The LED headlamp cuts through the early morning fog, providing clear visibility. The handling is precise, making it easy to weave through congested streets.
However, not every day is perfect. There have been moments of frustration, particularly with the bike’s center stand. The low ground clearance means it often scrapes over speed bumps, leaving unsightly scratches. These moments of irritation remind me that no bike is without its flaws.
Despite these occasional setbacks, the Raider 125 redeems itself during long weekend rides. The joy of hitting the highway, feeling the wind rush past, and enjoying the bike's smooth performance is unparalleled. The seat remains comfortable even on longer journeys, and the bike’s stability at higher speeds is reassuring.
    》Pros:
    - Sporty and stylish design
    - Strong and responsive engine performance
    - Comfortable seating and ergonomics
    - Advanced digital instrument cluster
    - Excellent fuel efficiency
    》Cons:
    - Limited availability of service centers in some regions
    - Slightly higher maintenance costs compared to competitors
    - Center stand scrapes over speed bumps
    - Digital display can be hard to read under direct sunlight
    》 Conclusion
Reflecting on a year with the TVS Raider 125, I realize it has been a journey of mixed emotions. There have been moments of joy and excitement, particularly during long rides where the bike’s performance shines. The daily commute is made bearable, if not enjoyable, thanks to the bike’s comfort and efficiency. Yet, there have also been moments of frustration, especially with maintenance and minor design flaws.
One memorable morning, I recall heading out for an early ride. The fog was dense, and the LED headlamp performed admirably, cutting through the mist and providing clear visibility. The horn, robust and loud, ensured my presence was known to others on the road. As I navigated through traffic, the precision handling of the Raider 125 made me feel in control, despite the bustling environment.
But there were days of sadness too. One such instance was when the center stand scraped against a speed bump, causing visible damage. The frustration of dealing with the low-ground clearance was palpable. Visits to the service center, though, were a mixed bag. The staff were courteous and helpful, but the frequency of visits due to minor issues was a downer.
Yet, the happiness and enjoyment on weekend rides overshadowed these minor setbacks. The fuel tank's capacity ensured long, uninterrupted rides, and the comfortable seat made even the longest journeys pleasurable. The bike's stability at higher speeds provided a sense of security and thrill.
Overall, the TVS Raider 125 is a well-rounded motorcycle that excels in design, performance, and comfort. It has proven to be a reliable companion for both daily commutes and weekend getaways. Despite its few shortcomings, it remains a strong contender in the 125cc segment. If you’re looking for a bike that offers a blend of style, features, and fuel efficiency, the TVS Raider 125 is worth considering.

Very Very Bad Bike. Tvs raider 125 Engine is very Heating. Over Heating. Service center technicians are very negligent and poor technicians without knowledge. They are not mechanical engineering.
    They can't resolve Engine-side problems.
Many more times I went to talk with the Service Manager and staff about it.
They can suggest buying a battery bike for more comfort from the Dondaparthi Service Center.
Really I lost my bike and valuable money.

In terms of mileage, I must say it is a good option in this 125 CC segment. It has a good road grip and a powerful break.

I bought this bike 28 August, The timing chain changed within 2 months, the Crank changed, and the cylinder kit changed. Gear sensors changed in every service.
Making noise like a generator on toad. No follow-up and customer satisfaction.

I purchased this bike 1 year ago and after 2 months of purchasing its battery getting low again and again which is a pathetic experience with a company like TVS I'm seriously tired of getting okay. After giving on service center they are unable to help. I will recommend anyone to purchase this bike.

The initial of this bike is awesome 👍 it's never been defeated by any other bike in the same segment. Looking at a bike 🏍️ feel like a rider gives me like true ride. TVS 💯. Comfortable seats.

    Feeling disappointed with every service.
Always leave bik for 3 to 4 days.
No information was provided by the service centre if the bike is yours then it's your duty service to do anything pending.
