Vespa scooters are sold by the Italian manufacturer, Piaggio, in India. The brand’s portfolio has a range of scooters, all of which feature a nearly identical design and cycle parts. They are available in two engine configurations including 125cc and 150cc models, with the latter being available in two variants – VXL 150 and SXL 150. Here, the SXL is a more premium trim with a rectangular headlamp, mirrors, and fancy matte-finished colour options.
Besides the minor aesthetic differences, the SXL 150 is the same as the rest of the Vespas on the design front. The new Facelift edition, which was introduced during the BS6 transition, gets more features than before including a full-LED headlamp, an under-seat light, and a USB charger. Meanwhile, the semi-digital instrument cluster has been retained.
The revised BS6-compliant engine has not just gotten more environment-friendly but it has also lost a bit of cubic capacity. As opposed to the previous 154cc mill, it displaces 149cc now but continues to feature a three-valve, air-cooled setup. However, the power figures have gone slightly down to 10.2bhp and 10.6Nm. On the contrary, the hardware package is the same with an 11-10-inch wheel combination suspended by a single-sided link type suspension up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a disc-drum combo, assisted by a single channel ABS.
Considering its displacement and a premium price tag, the Vespa SXL 150 doesn’t have a competition in India yet. Besides the matte-finished colour schemes, the SXL is also available in a limited edition Racing Sixties avatar which demands a price premium for the special cosmetic treatment.

I have been using this scooter for 2 years and now the mileage is about 20kmpl I asked the service centre guys they told that it's common to give such mileage for these scooters.

Amazing experience with the Vespa scooter looks great. Seat is very comfortable, foot space is huge, easy to control and good mileage, It is all nice and spencer. It is available in state showrooms. It is available at a good price. Servicing and maintenance of a Vespa scooter is a major cost.

Poor service, Poor mileage, Poor drive and a very bad scooter.Parts are highly costly and not available many times in showroom. The mechanic is not understanding the problem with the scooter and also cheated me. The scooter sound is very bad. Always thorough in smoke in pollution.The riding is very bad. Only looks good but the service is very bad. And the scooter is very poor. Rating a big zero.

Beauty with no power and comfort.

Good buying experience, Not at all a power scooter neither comfortable. Looks good not too heavy on pocketPros : Good lookingCons :Bad riding experience. No power, no comfort. Not a value for money vehicle. Inappropriately overpriced. Will not recommend to anyone else to buy this product. Instead buy an Ather 450x.

Be cautious before deciding on vespa

Design is okay, riding is a pleasure. But the lock and under-seat space is a real hell. In my case, the lock was tampered with by a looter, even without a trace of damage, and my valuables were stolen. Escalated the issue to customer care, but the usual answer that this problem will be looked into only came.Such a poor design of the seat and the material used. The material is so flexible, that the seat can be lifted with ease and the under-seat compartment can be accessed.
