Comfort good. Riding experience is good. Headlight good. Engine is superb. I am purchased fzs v3 last 15 days back. 50 speed is ok but 65 above foot pegs vibrations too disturb and handle bar vibrations disturb me. Gear shifter too hard. No gear indication in instrument cluster. i am purchased suzuki gixxer 2017 already using till my Gixxer best bike in segment. My personal experience Suzuki gixxer rating 5 and fzs v3 rating is 3.

Great bike for daily commuting. Do regular servicing with Yamaha to maintain proper functioning.
Overall looks are also cool and the bike is reliable for short distances.
It won't be a suitable choice for long-distance rides as the seats are not too comfy for long rides.
However, city rides would be fine as it is a commuter bike.

  • Yamaha FZ s... Bang for the buck

    Vinith Kumar Amanna

The buying experience is super good... The yamaha staff has good knowledge about the bike in Hyderabad..
The riding experience is too good but in highway 80kmph is the comfortable cruising speed and it has less power for highways. Chain maintainance is high .. you need to clean the chain very regularly. The bike sometimes slips despite having wide tyres . The bike is a beast for city use... Comfortable seating and good handling. The looks are best in the 150cc segment but yamaha should add more power in the bike. I took the bike to kodaikanal trip.. it was good and came back without a single issue. I personally used motul 300v 15w 50 oil... Bike speed , vibrations literally improved a lot... Use engine flush before pouring new engine oil .
The main con is yamaha has the worst service centres .. most technicians doesn't know the recommended oil grades they simply pour yamahalube and service charges are almost 2k in yamaha showroom. They ask you to change clutch plates always. Maintainance cost is low . Fuel economy is 50+ in economy and headlights illumination is less ..
Pros : good handling, great fuel economy and killer looks.
Cons: lack of power, service centres are poor and not suitable for highways

Got this bike in 2015 , but was not sure about the fuel injector by that time. For my surprise the bike rode well with the true character of the fz v1 , this bike packs a punch on the low and mid range but when you cross the triple digit mark you can feel the bike gasping for power but still it's an yamaha and the built quality and ride quality will make you forget about it , with the gear shifts i have never once experienced an miss shift , the riding position is pretty comfortable and the front fat forks does what it does well the bike feels pretty nimble on the corners you can lean and pull the throttle with confidence . Things you might miss is an dual trip metre and a clock in the console and the fuel indicator might mall function while put on side stand. I have rode 60000 kms by the past 3 years on this bike it has never failed me once and returns an mileage of 45-47 on city and 50-53 on highways. It's a neat bike if you want to go for an good brand with an good svc and might fail you on high range but if you are sure about what you are walking into welcome to an clean refined and an awesome streetfighter experience as it's the "lord of the street" and not highway or track .

  • Preferred for middle class people for daily city commute and occasional commuting.

    Sambit Ray

Design and styling: the FZ S V3 deluxe boasts a modern and aggressive design that appeals to riders who prefer a sporty look. It features sharp lines, a muscular fuel tank, led headlamp(can be good), led taillamp(not given with it, you have to buy extra), and a digital instrument cluster, giving it a contemporary appearance.
Performance: the bike is equipped with a 149cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that delivers good performance and acceleration. The engine produces a decent amount of power and torque, making it suitable for both city commuting and occasional highway rides. A little bit underpowered in this segment.
Handling and ride quality: the FZ S V3 deluxe offers nimble handling and good maneuverability, thanks to its well-tuned suspension and chassis. I have found it easy to navigate through traffic and enjoy a stable ride on various road conditions.
Features: Yamaha has equipped the FZ S V3 deluxe with some noteworthy features. It includes a fully digital instrument cluster that provides information like a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meter, and gear position indicator. The bike also comes with a single-channel abs (anti-lock braking system) for enhanced safety. Dual channel braking system might be good.
Fuel efficiency: the FZ S V3 deluxe is known to offer decent fuel efficiency around 45 km/h in city, which is a desirable factor for daily commuting. Yamaha's fuel injection system helps in optimizing fuel delivery and improves mileage.

  • Fzs looks aggressive & stylish but disappoints a lot in riding comfort performance and reliability areas

    Subramanyam

    1. Buying experience of fzs-iv is average
    2. Riding experience: I am getting tired after 5 kms ride in city driving conditions ( i am sure that, fzs is not fun to ride a bike); reasons: vibrations, hard suspension, lack of braking sharpness, conservative seat cushion
    3. Looks good, that's why I had purchased it after taking a short test ride on narrow & congested roads
    4. Spares like self motor, clutch cable, accelerator cables, self-starter relay, front fork, i.E. Shock absorber oil seals never maintained at yamaha service centers as compared with bajaj ( i never replaced above spare parts till 35000 kms for pulsar bikes 150 & 180), which were owned by me prior purchasing fzs.
    5. Pros: aggressive looks, styling, yamaha symbol, first fuel injection system in its segment in bs iv engines
    6. Cons:
    - availability of spares when biking breakdowns
    - not so reliable or the life of the bike parts, like self motor, self-starter relay, clutch cable, accelerator cables, front shock absorber oil seals, center stand, headlight lamp which are not even lasting for at least 10000 km
    - gaps inside panels & other plastic parts were observed after repeated removal during repairs or replacing of spare parts.
