    Samson Varghese

2019 model fzv3...With 53 km/l...1,22243 km completed......Best riding comfort and braking stability.....The front abs braking system is very good.....But...The seat and tank cover could be improved. It's so poor.....I will keep my bike...For my daughter...She is 1 yrs and 19 days only......In a week 4 days, I traveled 232 kmi each... Mostly night at a speed not less than 75 km/h ....So I just simply adore my fz v3.

  • Dealing with the youngest street yamaha.

    Reuben Pereira

Firstly I would like to put it straight forward. My Yamaha FZ fi 150cc was the second version. It was the best first bike to buy. My buying experience was average due to the dealership that I bought it from. As far as riding experience goes. I prefer the seating triangle. It is upright, relaxed and comfortable. Also i have had many people who've sat as a passenger and say that the ride was smooth, no vibrations at all.
to me. My bike looks like an autobot, which i think is radical. Its performance is really good. I just wish it had a 6 speed gearbox. For a 150 cc, its performs well enough, but for commuting or traveling on a highway the 5 speed gearbox just doesn't cut it. Although it is quite torquey, it has a lot of of punch. Just step down to the gear below what you're on and smoke them / overtake them.
Pros: it's a fun bike for beginners. It has a decent 12ltr tank capacity. Great mileage.
Cons: not really recommended for touring long distances because of it's small displacement.

Change your oil after 3000km. Use a microfiber cloth while wiping all plastic panels so they don't get scratches. If you plan on waxing/polishing your bike, either use a soft sponge or a microfiber cloth. Do not use the same cloth for washing and wiping it dry. Use chain lube and not gear oil to clean your chain, gear oil attracts more dirt. Use a brush specifically meant for cleaning your chain.

Smooth to ride. Getting a mileage of 55+kmpl. However, service costs at the Bangalore service center are on the higher side just because Yamaha does not do scrutiny on the dealers. Misses out on connected tech and dual-channel ABS. For city use and random highway rides, do not think and go for it. At the end of the day, I am also hoping the bike stays true to Japanese reliability genes.

The Yamaha FZ series has long been a staple in the naked bike category, offering a blend of performance, style, and reliability. The latest iteration of the Yamaha FZ continues this legacy, making it a compelling choice for both novice and experienced riders.
    Design and Build Quality
The Yamaha FZ boasts an aggressive and muscular design, characterized by its sharp lines and sculpted bodywork. The bike's bold fuel tank, sleek headlamp, and minimalistic rear end give it a contemporary look that stands out on the road. The build quality is solid, with high-grade materials and a finish that speaks to Yamaha's attention to detail.
    Engine and Performance
At the heart of the Yamaha FZ is a refined 149cc or 249cc engine (depending on the model), known for its smooth power delivery and impressive fuel efficiency. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox that offers precise and smooth shifts. The bike delivers a balanced performance, with enough power for spirited city riding and sufficient torque for a comfortable highway cruise.
    Ride and Handling
The Yamaha FZ excels in the ride and handling department. The diamond-type frame provides a sturdy foundation, while the front telescopic forks and rear mono-shock suspension ensure a smooth ride over various road conditions. The bike's low center of gravity and lightweight design make it incredibly nimble, allowing for easy in tight city traffic and confidence-inspiring stability on open roads.
    Braking and Safety
Equipped with disc brakes at both ends and optional ABS, the Yamaha FZ offers strong and predictable braking performance. The bike's braking system provides excellent feedback and ensures safety in emergency braking situations. Additionally, features like wide tires and a well-cushioned seat enhance rider comfort and safety.
    Features and Technology
The Yamaha FZ comes with a digital instrument cluster that provides all the essential information at a glance, including speed, fuel level, trip meter, and more. The LED headlamp and tail lamp offer superior visibility and a modern aesthetic. The bike also features a sporty exhaust note that adds to the overall riding experience.
    Fuel Efficiency
One of the standout aspects of the Yamaha FZ is its fuel efficiency. The bike's engine is tuned for optimal fuel consumption, making it an economical choice for daily commuting. Riders can expect impressive mileage, which is a significant advantage in the current economic climate.

Here are some general maintenance tips for keeping your Yamaha FZ in good condition: Regular Maintenance Checklist: Engine Oil: Check and replace the engine oil every 3000-4000 kilometers (or as recommended in the owner's manual). Inspect brake pads and discs for wear and replace if necessary. Ensure the brake system is free of air bubbles and the brake lever has proper pressure. Tyres: Check tyre pressure regularly. The buying experience was very good, the whole team was super interactive and did very well in the case of delivery time and accesories.
The riding experience is good, knowing it is a 150cc bike it has enough power to go through the city at a great pace. I have noticed that after some time maybe around an hour of driving, I do have some amount of back pain. The exhaust sounds very well-balanced too.
The performance of this bike is mediocre I shall say but for a beginner, it's really capable.
The looks are exciting but I liked the 2015 version of it. The bike is muscular and pretty sporty but I do feel that the fuel tank is a bit oversized which is deceiving.
The mileage is about 50kmpl on average and about 45-48 in cities
indeed a very exciting mileage to it.
The service and reliability that you get by buying a Yamaha is the main reason a person should go with this bike. Incredible servicing.
