  • My red riding hood

    Manu

This was my first sports bike and was so excited... I was on cloud nine... My parents gave me the spark for my first ride. It was a red and grey bike... I choose red over blue cox of man utd.. It’s been almost 6 months with her... She never troubled me on any cause.. Mileage is btw 42-45. U will fall in love with her the each time you see her. She is the best for cornering. Her top is about 138 kmph which i was able to do.. Braking were far better than i have expected.

  • Sporty look but hard suspension

    Amit

The buying experience was good; the dealer provided the bike on time.
Big tires give a steady riding experience.
The bulky tank gives a sporty look.
Mileage is also between 45-50 based on riding.
One servicing mechanic did even bother to listen to my request for suspension adjustment he told me there is not any setting.
    Pros-
    Sporty look
    Big tires steady ride
    Sometimes exhaust feels good.
    Mileage
    Cons-
Fiber quality was not good even after a single-handed decent use tank cover lock was broken.
Fiber quality is not good and gets scratched easily.
Low-quality paint on the brake and clutch lever.
The main dislike of bikes is the rear suspension, I sometimes feel like riding bicycles that hard it is.
With pillion suspension works but in the single seat it is worse.
For suspension, I am regretting to buy this and I will not recommend it to anyone.

  • Definition of a real naked street fighter.

    Sabith

Actually bought a used one but was in really very good condition. The riding was pretty smooth. I think the pickup was very powerful compared to its segment.
The engine is reliable and smooth as always like the Yamaha bikes.
It has got killer looks in its segment but actually I like the looks of BS4 FZ25, but due to short budget I went for the FZ but never regretted.
Maintenance is not on the costlier side or on the cheap side. I always use motul synthetic oil and it gave me a very good feedback. As i bought a used one, I used to service it occasionally in a local workshop I knew and not in Yamaha service centre. I used to service my old scooter in the same workshop and he had done a pretty good job.
Now moving onto the pros and cons,
So talking about pros, I think everything will be pros
    1.Breaking is excellent for a 150cc bike.
2.The engine is both reliable and got a sportier performance compared to other bikes in the segment.
3.The seat is cushioned nicely and will give you comfort in long rides. Both pillion and rider will be satisfied.
4.Handling is an important aspect and Yamaha had done a pretty good job there.
And everything else was just as I need it to be.
    And now talking about cons
1.Headlight is good but not good enough for long rides. For just city rides it is enough but you will need auxiliary lights for long trips.
2.The tank is made of fiber so magnetic tank bag cant be used for touring. But u can tie up the saddle in the rear.
From my point of view apart from above points I didn't feel any cons in the bike. It was a pretty good deal in its price segment, Yamaha had done a very good job there.

  • Good bike for daily commute

    Vignesh

Bike is okay to ride daily for 60-70 kms. On full tank with power petrol I am getting mileage of 600 kms for 10.5 litres. Average of 58-60 kms/l. Rear brakes would have ABS, but that is missing. I am riding bike in eco mode on 50-60 km/h speed. So it gives this mileage. But if you do rash drive, bike will give very less mileage.

Bought it on Jan 2015, and for every sec I didn't regret buying him. Booked on morning and got delivered on the same day. Delay in registration as I bought it when the fi variant was introduced. Looks like a butterfly, and stings like a bee (performance). Cons - Yamaha service is bad for the past 2 years, cleaning and fixing things is not up to the mark that was good years back.

    Vibhore Kataria

It is one of the safest and smoothest commuter bike in the market. I have done very harsh riding but faced no issues with the bike. It has never betrayed me.Breaking is a awesome and you can trust it, thanks to it's fat tyres. It feels so good to ride it. I never met an accident with the fz despite driving harsh. Also, this was my first bike.
