Firstly i was very skeptical on buying this bike. But after i took delivery i really loved it. There are vibes above 7k rpm and there is a buzz when bike reaches 4.5k rpm. But the vibes are not crazy. The torque of this bike is amazing the pull you get in 2nd and 3rd gears is just so good you'll love it for sure. This bike doesn't have a big too end but it did 120 with pillion which is enough for me. Cruising speed I'd say max 100 you can go more if you want but vibes will be present. The fuel economy of the bike is 31 for me the console also says 31. The exhaust note is super bossy. Now about the cons, the bike does heat up quickly and you can actually feel some heat in feat, 2. There are tappet noise issue with all fz 25 bikes. But nothing major. 3. Some people may find the fuel economy as a con. Other than that this is a solid 250 at a affordable price. Though i wouldn't say this is a 250cc bike, it's on par with 200cc bikes.

Fz-25 the all rounder

Fz25 is a good bike, for all our purpose, we can do commuting, touring, family use, college use everything. I think yamaha is not promoting this bike as well as mt 15 ,r15, etc . Yamaha have to give 4 valve, 6th gear , more information in display, slipper clutch, and 23,24 bhp power, to fz25. Fz25 is a air+oil cooled engine, the oil cooling is giving better cooling to this bike, no need of liquid cooling for fz25.

Yamaha FZ25 review

I decided to buy this bike last December on a whim. I had done no research on the bike prior to that. I decided i would buy this bike for 2 main reasons: its the cheapest 250cc in the market and it has the reliable brand name of yamaha attached to it. But during that time, most of the showrooms (if not all) around the country had no stock of fz25 and they were waiting for the next consignment of fz25 to arrive in 2 or 3 months. I was ok with the waiting period, so i decided I'd do some research on the bike and understand more about what the bike has to offer. I interacted with fz25 users in forums, social media and in my city to get their feedback. After my thorough research, i figured out one main point, yamaha India doesn't offer the same kind of quality it did a decade back.Majority of the users i spoke to complained about the bike having ignition problems, engine tappet noises, poor paint quality and poor headlight visibility. But i still didn't care, my heart was set on this bike because the bike fitted my requirement for touring (upright position, good mileage, soft suspensions, more than enough torque and power for our roads). But the deal breaker was when i finally went to look at the new batch of fz25s that had arrived. I was shocked to find the plastics on the side panels and tail section to be very very cheap! the tail section of the bikes was loose and flimsy. I could literally pull the side panels out (they weren't nailed in)! right next to it was an r15 v4 m and that bike looked premium in comparison, even the plastic used for the body was of high quality. Such kind of low quality standards I'd expect from a Bajaj or an enfield, but never from such a reputed brand like yamaha who are known globally for making high quality affordable bikes. Yamaha India is coasting off of the goodwill the company has earned over the decades and releasing subpar bikes here. All the above reasons have stopped me from booking this bike. It is definitely a value for money bike for what it offers at that price point, but it won't have the typical quality that a yamaha is known for.
