Got mileage of

Welcome to the fz 25 review that, hopefully, will explain all facts that you are looking for. Here we go!

Who must read this review?

• if you are a potential buyer for a 200+ cc motorcycle or want to know about fz 25, do spare some time in reading this short draft.

Who has written this review?

• i am an it guy. I’ve completed about 3k kms on fz 25 for home-to-office and for miscellaneous reasons. Predominantly using this motorcycle for city commute within mumbai.

Introduction

• yamaha fz 25 is a 250 cc motorcycle that offers great low-end torque thereby providing outright acceleration with little throttle. When in traffic, fz 25 is the motorcycle that you must consider!

Ride comfort

• great rider seat that offers upright riding position. No backache. Handle bars are placed where they must be. Pillion seat is properly designed and adequately cushioned.

Mileage

Fuel injection working with the blue core engine does it for you.

• 32-36 for city rides

• 40 for highways

Speed and acceleration

• the motorcycle is a savior when you ride in traffic. 0-60 is hardly 3.3 seconds and you are ahead of everybody. The throttle wrooms your bike with an amazing bassy exhaust that pumps the adrenaline flow! the acceleration is just what you want. The top speed may not be too attractive…about 140+. However, i am sure you don’t ride at any bikes’ top speed in the city.

Safety

• despite abs’ absence, the rear brakes are super-progressive. Nevertheless, abs is abs. You can’t turn blind-eye on abs’ significance. Tyre grip is above average. However, ride any bike at speed that you can control.

Maintenance

• not too costly, not too cheap! yamaha’s spares are moderately priced. I paid about 1600 for the first service that included fi cleaning, in addition to the conventional service artifacts.

Handling

• oh my gosh! amazing to handle. I upgraded from hornet 160 to fz 25 and immediately sensed superior handling in fz 25. Turning and cornering are charm!

Price

• it’s known that the price is aggressive. I differ! i say, the price is justified. While the bike’s engine is superb and headlamp is awesome, the average quality of indicators, simplistic instrumental cluster, abs’ absence, poor mirrors and several minute artifacts keep the price justified and not aggressive. Ktm duke 200 is costlier for a reason…for being better in the aforementioned aspects of a bike. 1.4 lacs on road should be in any city.

Miscellaneous

• rear view mirrors are useless. Change them the moment you own this motorcycle. The tyre hugger is only a show piece; it won’t protect mud splash on pillion rider’s back. Bike is amazing in looks and speed. Mileage is quite up to the mark for a 250 cc engine. Comfortable it is and the fun you have while riding!

Thanks for reading! signing off for now. You have a great day.

Owning Yamaha is free from any problems. Want to upgrade my Yamaha from 150 to 250 for weekend rides and occasionally long rides and this bike served my my all purposes.
Because of the light, it is easy to maneuver in the city.
I have experienced 2 service centers and both have not given me any trouble instead suggested things to maintain my bike.
The only 1 con I can say is only for pillion-riding seats for rides.

The bike is amazing and has served me well for the past 5 years. I've ridden it every day, maintenance is affordable and easy to do even on your own. The only sad part is that it only has a 5-speed gearbox, and even on the 5th gear, it still has plenty of power and wants one more gear to fully use the power on hold. The bike looks great and all but needs a 6-speed gearbox to utilize it's full power

I have been using this bike for the last 5 years. The bike is very good to ride in the city or on highways. The special thing is I never had a back pain issue while riding on this bike. Daily I am riding 50km in city traffic. I am getting 34 mileage per liter. The best part of this bike is the seating position. My height is 6 feet 4 and 4 inches and I never feel discomfort on this bike. I have completed more than 39k km driving and then given this honest review.

Better than royal enfield. Superb engine refinement, mileage around 37-40 kmpl which is amazing. Beats all royal enfield bikes in performance and re is nowhere close to yamaha's engine refinement, however, I know RE does not make performance bikes. And even in 250cc segment fz25 is little underpowered but atleast its better than RE . The most amazing part is engine refinement which is what Yamaha is known for and best mileage which are my top reasons to buy this bike. However this bike has an issue with ground clearance which is manageable if you ride alone but need to be taken care of, with a pillion rider

    1. Budget-friendly
    2. Easy & comfortable to ride
    3. Funky look with decent performance
    4. Low-cost service 7 maintenance
    5. Pros - You can do long & city rides. It's worth its prize on that 250 cc segment and performance is best, brakes are excellent, tire grip to the drifting is best, and services ok but need to improve.
Cons - 5 no gears instead of 6 & little low power as compared to 250cc Very smooth, comfortable yet powerful bike. Just got it a week ago and I really liked it. I am 6 feet tall and I guess it would be comfortable for people of any height. The exhaust sound is really impressive too. People are noticing my bike on the roads.

You can go for N250 but this bike is big and looks good and attracts people
Comfortable and easy trick. Maintenance of this bike is very easy. This bike lacks only 2 things 1 additional gear and instrument cluster but when you drive it in city you won't need 6th gear, go for it.

  • Need more gears

    Purlanson

The bike is amazing and has served me well for the past 5 years. I've ridden it every day, maintenance is affordable and easy to do even on your own. The only sad part is that it only has a 5-speed gearbox, and even on the 5th gear, it still has plenty of power and wants one more gear to fully use the power on hold. The bike looks great and all but needs a 6-speed gearbox to utilize it's full power

  • Honest Review After Driving 39000 km In 5 Years

    Rahul Tak

I have been using this bike for the last 5 years. The bike is very good to ride in the city or on highways. The special thing is I never had a back pain issue while riding on this bike. Daily I am riding 50km in city traffic. I am getting 34 mileage per liter. The best part of this bike is the seating position. My height is 6 feet 4 and 4 inches and I never feel discomfort on this bike. I have completed more than 39k km driving and then given this honest review.
