About the Reviewer

Ridden for (If Owned)

0-5000 km

Got mileage of

34 kmpl

I wanted this bike right after i saw it's reviews on the internet. I finally bought it in july 2017. As long as taking ownership is concerned, it took less than 2 hours to finish paperwork and though i couldn't ride it first hand to way home as my brother was too lenient to ride the bike.2. Riding experience : coming from a decent 150cc fazer i could really feel the power and rush. Acceleration is quite impressive. Seats are comfortable and rider seat is astoundingly wide. Handling is top notch but i feel suspensions are a bit stiff for a street fighter. Its quite nimble and you can easily ride it in highways ad well as everyday traffic. For brakes, i'd say its not that impressive. For a bike of such caliber, you definitely need satisfactory brakes to stop it. But it fades, lacks bite and sometimes feels spongy. Until you have completed your first few thousand odometer readings and really got to know about how the brakes behave, be gentle on the machine. Gearbox might feel clunky at first, just be patient for few hundred kilometres in your tally. 3. Looks and performance : looks wise its a charmer. Though most of the time people confuse it with older fzs, there is actually a little similarity. First and foremost, power and torque figures in paper is not impressive, but it never lets you feel under powered. Mileage is super for a quarter litre engine. Even with weird riding style of mine, i still manage to get 34kmpl mileage. The led headlamps are completely useless on night so drop any night riding plans but shockingly in daytime people just love the looks of it. Weird right? riding position is not aggressive but it can still give you aches after first few rides.4. Servicing and maintenance : servicing cost is manageable. For the first servicing (free) i paid 1200 inr that included engine oil (2 850ml bottles ) oil filter, carbon cleaner, chain clean and lube. The duration of long servicing intervals makes you totally forget there's even some kind of maintenance. As my first servicing was after 2 months of purchasing the bike aka 10 September 2017, the 2nd was in 9 April 2018 and third being 8 October 2018. For this i'd say maintenance cost is pretty reasonable. If you chose not to lube your chain, the servicing cost comes down to 995 inr.5. Pros and cons : as a owner of the motorcycle i have laid down every possible pros and cons of the bike known to me.Pros :A. Good power but excellent torque. B. Good looks C. Handling is top notch D. Great mileage Cons :A. Pretty much a stepped up version of older fzs. B. Not so great brakes. C. Poor performing headlamp D. Stiff suspension.

Tips for Yamaha FZ25

Do not cut cost, lube your chain. If you want consistency in performance, always have your fuel tank half filled or only half empty. The FI system reduces performance when low on fuel (0~4 liter).

Owning Yamaha is free from any problems. Want to upgrade my Yamaha from 150 to 250 for weekend rides and occasionally long rides and this bike served my my all purposes.
Because of the light, it is easy to maneuver in the city.
I have experienced 2 service centers and both have not given me any trouble instead suggested things to maintain my bike.
The only 1 con I can say is only for pillion-riding seats for rides.

The bike is amazing and has served me well for the past 5 years. I've ridden it every day, maintenance is affordable and easy to do even on your own. The only sad part is that it only has a 5-speed gearbox, and even on the 5th gear, it still has plenty of power and wants one more gear to fully use the power on hold. The bike looks great and all but needs a 6-speed gearbox to utilize it's full power

I have been using this bike for the last 5 years. The bike is very good to ride in the city or on highways. The special thing is I never had a back pain issue while riding on this bike. Daily I am riding 50km in city traffic. I am getting 34 mileage per liter. The best part of this bike is the seating position. My height is 6 feet 4 and 4 inches and I never feel discomfort on this bike. I have completed more than 39k km driving and then given this honest review.

Better than royal enfield. Superb engine refinement, mileage around 37-40 kmpl which is amazing. Beats all royal enfield bikes in performance and re is nowhere close to yamaha's engine refinement, however, I know RE does not make performance bikes. And even in 250cc segment fz25 is little underpowered but atleast its better than RE . The most amazing part is engine refinement which is what Yamaha is known for and best mileage which are my top reasons to buy this bike. However this bike has an issue with ground clearance which is manageable if you ride alone but need to be taken care of, with a pillion rider

    1. Budget-friendly
    2. Easy & comfortable to ride
    3. Funky look with decent performance
    4. Low-cost service 7 maintenance
    5. Pros - You can do long & city rides. It's worth its prize on that 250 cc segment and performance is best, brakes are excellent, tire grip to the drifting is best, and services ok but need to improve.
Cons - 5 no gears instead of 6 & little low power as compared to 250cc Very smooth, comfortable yet powerful bike. Just got it a week ago and I really liked it. I am 6 feet tall and I guess it would be comfortable for people of any height. The exhaust sound is really impressive too. People are noticing my bike on the roads.

You can go for N250 but this bike is big and looks good and attracts people
Comfortable and easy trick. Maintenance of this bike is very easy. This bike lacks only 2 things 1 additional gear and instrument cluster but when you drive it in city you won't need 6th gear, go for it.

  • Need more gears

    Purlanson

The bike is amazing and has served me well for the past 5 years. I've ridden it every day, maintenance is affordable and easy to do even on your own. The only sad part is that it only has a 5-speed gearbox, and even on the 5th gear, it still has plenty of power and wants one more gear to fully use the power on hold. The bike looks great and all but needs a 6-speed gearbox to utilize it's full power

  • Honest Review After Driving 39000 km In 5 Years

    Rahul Tak

I have been using this bike for the last 5 years. The bike is very good to ride in the city or on highways. The special thing is I never had a back pain issue while riding on this bike. Daily I am riding 50km in city traffic. I am getting 34 mileage per liter. The best part of this bike is the seating position. My height is 6 feet 4 and 4 inches and I never feel discomfort on this bike. I have completed more than 39k km driving and then given this honest review.
