I am in love with this bike. I've done about 6k kms so far. It's such a joy to ride. This is not a performance beast by any standard. It is probably the least powerful bike in quarter litre segment. But that doesn't mean that it is no fun. There is torque, loads of torque on offer. It makes this bike the best city bike. Riding in city is super easy on this bike. You can ride at 40kmph in 5th gear easily. Crawling at 15-20kmph in 3rd gear is no problem. It is such a good city bike.On highways however, it is not the best. It can cruise at 100-110kmph easily. But beyond that, it struggles. I have done 2 long rides in 6 months of ownership. And i have done a maximum of 400km in a single day on highway. Rider's comfort is very good. But the lack of 6th gear on highway is noticeable. Bike is very stable at 100kmph but there are a lot of vibrations. Vibrations have reduced a lot after second service. But i haven't experienced the 'buttery smooth' japanese bike feeling that most japanese bike owners rave about.I have matte black color and it is a stunner. I have been inquired about the bike a few times when standing at the traffic signal. In my eyes, there is no better looking bike in this segment.Talking about the average, i am getting around 37kmpl in city and 41kmpl on highway. I have done 2 free services so far. During both services i had to pay around 1200rs. Pros- - torque on low end, city friendly power band.- handling, ride comfort.- beefy looks.Cons- - poor rear view mirrors- acceptable headlight- vibrations post 90kmph- lack of 6th gear
Tips for Yamaha FZ25
Lube your chain after every 300-400kms. Use 90 or 140 gear oil for lubing, it is much cheaper than canned chain lubes. Also the manual says to change the engine oil at every service (i.e. after every 5k kms) but the guys at service station recommends to change the oil at every 3k kms so change it every 3k kms if you are using stock yamalube engine oil.

Owning Yamaha is free from any problems. Want to upgrade my Yamaha from 150 to 250 for weekend rides and occasionally long rides and this bike served my my all purposes. Because of the light, it is easy to maneuver in the city. I have experienced 2 service centers and both have not given me any trouble instead suggested things to maintain my bike. The only 1 con I can say is only for pillion-riding seats for rides.

The bike is amazing and has served me well for the past 5 years. I've ridden it every day, maintenance is affordable and easy to do even on your own. The only sad part is that it only has a 5-speed gearbox, and even on the 5th gear, it still has plenty of power and wants one more gear to fully use the power on hold. The bike looks great and all but needs a 6-speed gearbox to utilize it's full power

Honest Review After Driving 39000 km In 5 Years

Rahul Tak
I have been using this bike for the last 5 years. The bike is very good to ride in the city or on highways. The special thing is I never had a back pain issue while riding on this bike. Daily I am riding 50km in city traffic. I am getting 34 mileage per liter. The best part of this bike is the seating position. My height is 6 feet 4 and 4 inches and I never feel discomfort on this bike. I have completed more than 39k km driving and then given this honest review.

Better than royal enfield. Superb engine refinement, mileage around 37-40 kmpl which is amazing. Beats all royal enfield bikes in performance and re is nowhere close to yamaha's engine refinement, however, I know RE does not make performance bikes. And even in 250cc segment fz25 is little underpowered but atleast its better than RE . The most amazing part is engine refinement which is what Yamaha is known for and best mileage which are my top reasons to buy this bike. However this bike has an issue with ground clearance which is manageable if you ride alone but need to be taken care of, with a pillion rider

1. Budget-friendly2. Easy & comfortable to ride 3. Funky look with decent performance4. Low-cost service 7 maintenance5. Pros - You can do long & city rides. It's worth its prize on that 250 cc segment and performance is best, brakes are excellent, tire grip to the drifting is best, and services ok but need to improve.Cons - 5 no gears instead of 6 & little low power as compared to 250cc Very smooth, comfortable yet powerful bike. Just got it a week ago and I really liked it. I am 6 feet tall and I guess it would be comfortable for people of any height. The exhaust sound is really impressive too. People are noticing my bike on the roads.

You can go for N250 but this bike is big and looks good and attracts peopleComfortable and easy trick. Maintenance of this bike is very easy. This bike lacks only 2 things 1 additional gear and instrument cluster but when you drive it in city you won't need 6th gear, go for it.
