I bought a yamaha fz25 from yamaha innovation tadong gangtok sikkim. Buying experience was not good he does not gives a good service to the buyers and also i think he cost more then retail price for eg he cost 1200 approx. For rare brake pad. If its cost this then its okay. Till today i travel up to 20000 km riding experience is crazy kinda of awesome. Pros and cons is unbeatable compare to other 250 breaking is also fabulous even without abs no front wheel lockage abd the stability it also mind blowing its really surprised thanks to yamaha diamond framed chassis. Head light with adjust option is really tricky .It looks with aho headlight with look pretty as watching transfers face. Buy revv and the torque within he have.

Overall ride is good braking is also good but could ad abs, handling is awesome, suspension little stiff, pick up superb, speedometer could make it better by providing full screen digital, little more hp. But still very good buy.For long ride and even pillion ride too is perfect. Sitting position is good for long ride.

  • Fz25 truly fun for daily commuting

    Atul

Buying experience: it was a smooth deal, not much of hiccups. It costed me around 1.47 lacs which is really good for a 250cc yamaha refinement. Ask the sales representative for any ongoing/ possible offers.Riding is great on this machine as it gives all it have just at 6000rpm and you get that 20 nm of torque with almost 21bhp of power giving a feel just as dominar with additional refinement and the sweet exhaust sound. Also you get all this in compact package of just 148 kgs, it is very nimble easy to flick around in the traffic. The only thing it misses is on the top speed and abs which is a must for Indian riders nowadays.Looks are subjective and depends completely on an individual, i bought this for the refinement amazing handling and i love yamaha Servicing might steal your pocket sometimes, the regular service cost of this bike is around 1500 (labour and oil charges included) plus there is a regular change of brake pads with every service which costs you a 1000 bucks more, it's not the pads are of bad quality but there is some mechanical fault which leads them to wear off earlier than they should (between 3000-5000 kms) also this issue is not for all the bikes, for few the brake pads came for 7000 kms. May be something yamaha needs to figure out, but that's not a deal breaker as everything yamaha has used in this bike is of top notch quality as they have maintained so forget about replacing any parts very frequently if you never forget to do regular service.Pros: Great handling Most refined and smooth engine compared to it competitors Great mileage Value for money Very for daily commuters with all the torque kicking in so early Cons:Looks are not so exclusive Top speed could have been better No windshield No abs.

Yamaha has one of the most understanding and imperial salesperson with them. One of them at green yamaha - faridabad , gave me a complete overview of the bike fz25 without asking for the details , generally you've to ask for the details for the bike.Riding posture is fantastic on this machine , its power giving it a perfect start and a wonderful push all over the ride and its magnificent looks could turn anyone on. Eye-catcher , that's what it is.Basic service under a minimal cost , low maintenance and a glide to ride on....Pros-Led headlamp Aho Disc breaks High fuel efficiency And many more...Cons- abs could knock out every bike around it.

  • An awesome machine with good value for money and good performance

    Athultc

I was planning to upgrade from my previous fz16. After doing bit of research in internet, the decision was not tough one . I concluded with yamaha fz 25 as i now the reliability of yamaha. Buying was awesome as booked through paytm and bike got delivered to me the very next day.First up all the riding experience , its just awesome. From fz16, the height is little more, but the seats are so comfortable and with more power its just an awesome machine to ride. I was surprised by the mileage as i am getting around 37 in city traffic and it went to around 50kmpl in empty highways easily.About looks , it has a killing look with big muscular tanks and some edges. And regarding performance, even-though it does not have a class leading power, it is good enough for an adrenaline rush. In highway, i accelerated upto 134kmph, but has to slow down due to vehicles.Best part is servicing is done in every 3 months or 5000kms. The first service cost me barely 1200 rs.Pros--------1) yamaha reliability 2) stunning looks 3) awesome fuel efficiency and good power.4) comfortable seats. Cons----------1) some times i feel gear is harder 2) rear mirror looks good but bad for practical purpose 3) no abs 4) i had an issue with the fuel reserve. The bike was not starting after it went to reserve and even after having ! litre in tank. When i asked the service centre regarding this, they told me that minimum 3 litre petrol is required for smooth functioning of fuel pump( i wonder what is the purpose of fuel reserve then).5) with some pillion rider of average weight, the bike bottom would touch the road in case of some non -standard humps.

  • Worth the money and an engine smooth as butter!

    Subramanya

    Pros:

Bike has been smooth, engine is damn refined, best in class price, mileage and riding experience. Its rides like a breeze in traffic. Mileage in city is 30 to 35 and in highway is around 40. Looks are a killer. Headlight throw was initially less but can be easily adjusted with a screwdriver.

Digital meter is fine and avg fuel indicator is quite accurate.

    Cons:

Up-to 100 or 110 its quick. After that it is a slow to reach top speed.

Mud splash for pillion rider. Gets very dirty.

Buy this bike if as a daily commuter and occasional touring. Not for people looking into only touring and speed enthusiasts.

Bike is worth the money and getting such a smooth experience.

A very good looking bike in 250cc segment, have a very nice road presence, this bike has a amazing pickup, the engine is refined, exhaust sound is awesome... I have got an average of around 37km... In mix riding condition, i wish the bike had abs, or the breaking should have been a bit better, overall its a good value for money if your looking for a daily commuting bike, which has a bit of everything refinement, ride and handling, quick of the line, looks are great...
