I am using my personal bike yamaha gladiator since last 7 years. As i experienced, yamaha gladiator gives a really good mileage. It is in between 55-65. The pick up and power is also good in its class. It is meant for Indian roads for daily use. It has good ground clearance, good shock ups, comfortable seating and very low/no maintenance cost. And after all the name of the brand yamaha.

I am it's owner since 2011 December look and performance is awesome. mileage is about 50-55 in city and 45-50 on nh, servicing cost is little disappointing, and also it is a trouble to get its part. usually the bike has approximately same pick up as my bullet Electra has.

I bought this bike in 2008 and enjoyed the ride in this bike for long rides without any issues and with the least maintenance, I never faced an issue till now I am writing this review after usage of 14 years+ still I am using the bike since it was the old one getting spares is a bit challenging but anyways no major parts are required, as the consumables are readily available in the market. As per my knowledge, I didn't find any con's on this bike. Comfortable mileage looks and the best deal for the price. Yamaha is known for its reliable and efficient engines that will last longer than our lives. I don't have a plan to change this bike anymore ...

    Prashant Ingle

Buying experience - good as price is competitive and budget bike

Riding experience - its smooth and pick up good as compare to other 125 cc bike can be driven 110 max on flat road.

Details about looks, performance etc. - look is average, handling is good, controlling is good as well.

Servicing and maintenance - chain sprocket - worst , disk break front - need to change on every serving mostly it will be okay till 2000 kms.

Pros - engine , pickup and performance is good *125 cc.

Cons: chain sprocket , break front and rear, tappets noisy.

  • Good in handling and pick up but problem with spark every day.

I bought this bike in early 2015 and it has an excellent pick up and average. The only thing makes me dis-comfortable that every day it is not starting properly. I need to on the choke every morning and take for 1 km after that only it is starting. So check this thing before buying. But overall its a good bike and maintenance free.

  • Yamaha gladiator ss honest review after 5 years

    Allan Robin

Used gladiator ss for 5 years. Best bike for daily travel. Very less maintenance and fuel economy is good too. Only downside is that spare parts are not easily available hence are a bit expensive.

The pick up is very good and it boasts of sporty looks unlike similar priced bikes in this range

Ride on the highway is super smooth. Even picks up speed very fast.

The ride position is good too. Would recommend yamaha to provide tubeless tyres and digital speedometer and tachometer.

After 5 years of riding it . I highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for daily commute to leisure travel. Highly recommended

  • Yamaha gladiator ss - stylish superior

    Vinod

I bought this bike from yamaha authorised re-seller, vasai. I waited for nearly 1 month for this bike to arrive and another 10-15 days for the registration.

It was a wonderful experience owning this bike.

It looks stunning and well very few bikes on the Indian road looks this good.

The power, the superior road grip, the precision, the engine, the pickup everything is trilling in this bike.

It doesn't feels the its a 125cc bike as it has even competed with 180cc bikes and done well.

I have done several long rides on this bike and it was very comfortable to ride this bike.

I have even taken this bike to goa and it performed pretty well.

The engine is very smooth and the gear shifting is very aggressive.

The braking is good enough to secure you from any kind of mishap.

The suspension system is good enough to ride is pretty bad roads.

When i bought this bike the service centres in mumbai were very less but now the scenario is totally different. Yamaha has emerged a lot of all this.

The cons of owning a yamaha:

    1. Very less options of authorised service stations.

    2. If a part fails, the service centre will take 2 weeks to order and fit the part.

    3. The superior quality of part directly affects the parts and they are costlier.

    4. If you're not prompt with taking good care of the bike, the bikes mileage will be affected.

  • Poor Quality

Owning a Gladiator Yamaha bike turned out to be a regrettable experience, fraught with disappointments and challenges. From the outset, the promise of reliability and performance was quickly overshadowed by persistent mechanical issues. The bike often suffered from frequent breakdowns, leaving me stranded in inconvenient locations and causing undue stress.
One of the most frustrating aspects was the inconsistency in its performance. Despite regular maintenance and servicing, the bike continued to exhibit unreliability, failing at crucial moments. This unreliability not only affected my daily commute but also eroded my confidence in the bike's capabilities.
Moreover, the customer service experience compounded my dissatisfaction. Dealing with service centres often proved to be an exercise in frustration, with delays in repairs and a lack of clear communication exacerbating the situation. It felt as though my concerns were not taken seriously, further diminishing my trust in the brand.
Financially, the bike also proved to be a burden. The frequent repairs and maintenance costs added up significantly over time, far exceeding what I had anticipated when initially purchasing the bike. This financial strain, coupled with the emotional toll of constant breakdowns, made the ownership experience deeply unpleasant.
In conclusion, my experience with the Gladiator Yamaha bike was marked by disappointment and frustration. The initial allure of owning a Yamaha bike was overshadowed by its persistent mechanical issues, poor performance reliability, and subpar customer service. This experience has not only soured my perception of the brand but has also taught me the importance of thorough research and consideration when making future purchasing decisions.

  • Yes! yamaha gladiator

    Piyush Sahu

  • Great gladiator prod to be owner since 14 years

    Dileep N

I bought this bike in 2008 and enjoyed the ride in this bike for long rides without any issues and with the least maintenance, I never faced an issue till now I am writing this review after usage of 14 years+ still I am using the bike since it was the old one getting spares is a bit challenging but anyways no major parts are required, as the consumables are readily available in the market. As per my knowledge, I didn't find any con's on this bike. Comfortable mileage looks and the best deal for the price. Yamaha is known for its reliable and efficient engines that will last longer than our lives. I don't have a plan to change this bike anymore ...

  • Genuine review - 45000 kms driven still - zero engine maintenance

    Prafullakumar Lolage
