5000km ride review of a new rider

So the Yamaha MT 15 V2 is an amazing bike. Though the initial delivery experience and experience with the staff of the bike showroom is the lowest and the worst I have experienced as far as I can say. They were so rude and they did not follow the instructions that were provided at the time of booking the bike. We had to wait for 4 to 5 hours to take the delivery of the bike from the showroom and I have to say the customer service has to be improved a lot. Coming to the bike, starting with the performance I have to say it's amazing. Not that cruel for new riders yet it gives the adrenaline rush a youngster needs. And have to say the mileage of this bike is top notch clocking in around 53 to 56 kmpl. The best so far I have achieved is 58kmpl while riding at a constant and cruising speed. Apart from this the looks of the bike are good and being a small bike it is fairly easy to maneuver through bumper-to-bumper traffic and it has good low-end performance to ride through the traffic conditions. The gearing of this bike is hard in my opinion. The gears feel a little stiff. The breaking on the other hand is impressive with dual channel abs and traction control along with dual disc breaks it has the power to stop the whole bike. Coming to the ride comfort of the bike I am very disappointed and it's not a bike for the Indian roads. The suspension being very stiff transfers the jerks and vibrations of medium to large size potholes and cracks on the road. On slow speeds, the suspension set-up is okay okay with minor to medium bumps and sometimes the larger bumps and potholes being bearable. The seat comfort is purely outdated. The seats are not at all cushioned and this makes it a daily commuting bike I have to say the Raider 125 feels better in my opinion compared to the ride quality and seat comfort of Mt 15. If you are to carry a pillion I would have to say to you to choose any other options in the market as it has little to no space for a pillion to sit properly and they too will have a poor ride quality. The pillion seat is very small and uncomfortable. If you are a person going for long rides then be ready to face severe back pain from its sporty posture. There are noticeable vibrations throughout the chassis and frame when you go beyond 70 kmph. Though it's fairly bearable the vibes creep in after 80 to 90kmph. I would highly recommend a luggage carrier with the seats to be modified if you are gonna buy this bike for the family commute. Overall I have to suggest you to test ride the bike before riding and make sure to drive different kinds of bikes before committing to buy a certain one. It is an amazing option for the youths and youngsters to take to college or office. The seat and the suspension setups are the major minus points of this bike and please make sure it's okay for you in the long run before purchasing this bike. The performance, fuel economy, dimensions, and weight of the bike are the plus points as they make the bike a considerable option to buy. Also, the lights are not that good but they aren't bad either so for nighttime riders, especially in the foggy areas I would say to buy a set of good aux lights for their commutes.

The Yamaha MT series has consistently been a favorite among motorcycle enthusiasts for its blend of performance, style, and versatility, and the Yamaha MT V2 continues this tradition admirably. This engine not only provides exhilarating acceleration but also remains manageable for everyday riding scenarios. Riders will appreciate the revised fueling and throttle response, which contribute to a more refined riding experience across different road conditions. One of the standout features of the MT V2 is its updated chassis. Here is rider review.Yes, its pricy and I know that well. Few points from my experience.Permium engine. With no doubt you will never feel its 155cc.Perfect suspension for indian roads. Fz25 or any other wont offer this feel when you ride this on the street.Height and weight is evenly place at the best seating style. R15 lacks in city riding.Decent mileage of 45 kmpl.Well build and better than R15 and ofcourse Fz25.Futuristic look and excellent projector light front and rear.Single channel abs is more than enough. Rear abs is useless in all bike. So this is not the fact which stopping you to buy.Ground clearance and turning radius. No other bike in india will have better than this. This is overall a best bike in this segment. What you put money in any yamaha bike you wont regret any day. Worth for money.Note: FZ25 is own brand and close competitor. FZ25 is two year old bike, so its obvious there are so many Fz fans supports for FZ25. For 250cc, Fz25 lack so much power and For 155cc, MT15 has best power.

Tips for other riders
Make sure you warmup the engine in the morning before taking it out. This can be done by just switching on the bike and let it idle for around 1–2mins. Since it is new, for the first 1000kms do not revv the engine above 4000–5000RPM. Always keep the RPM below 4000 until the first service. Whatever you do, the mileage will be comparitively lower during the first 1000kms and will increase gradually after the first service.
