India Yamaha Motor has updated its portfolio with the launch of the new YZF-R15S V3.0 in our market. This new variant of the motorcycle uses a single-piece step-up seat instead of the split-style unit on the YZF-R15 V4.0. The motorcycle is available in a single paint option – Racing Blue.
Yamaha says that while the YZF-R15 V4.0 is being appreciated by customers across India, the company’s research has shown that the buyers want a more viable option to commute with a pillion, without having to compromise on the Racing DNA of the YZF-R15.
The mechanical specifications retain the 155cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, SOHC, four-valve engine Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) setup. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor delivers 18.34bhp of maximum power at 10,000rpm and 14.1Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm.
The feature list is similar to the YZF-R15 V4.0, although this variant misses a traction control system and a quick-shifter. The feature list on the YZF-R15S V3.0 includes a multi-function LCD instrument cluster with a gear-shift indicator, dual-channel ABS, assist and slipper clutch, and a side stand indicator with engine cut-off function. The hardware continues to use a Deltabox frame and an aluminium swingarm. The suspension tasks are handled by telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock. The braking hardware comprises single discs on both wheels.

The average of the R15S is 45 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

One of the Best Sports Bike Ever

Why I said one of the best sports bikes ever is 1. I need a sports bike which can give better mileage and with a big fuel tank2. Having Better looks 3. With fast pickup 4. Maintenance 5. Dual Channel ABS 6. Sports Bike Segemtn If you're searching for a high-performance sports bike that combines speed with impressive fuel efficiency, this is the one to beat. It stands out for its mileage compared to other bikes in its class, and honestly, with such smooth handling and power, you won’t even feel the need to push past 150 km/h on the highway. This is easily one of the best bikes I’ve ever come across—built for thrill and practicality!

My experience as a owner

This bike is very special for me it is not because I love this bike but because I have a lot of memories with it. Its all about the experience with my friend. We both used to bunk class and roam around on the bike. We hardly manage money for petrol but those days are memorable. One thing I wish to tell is that this bike has something special which is a beautiful experience .

Very welcome entry-level 155cc bike with fully loaded option bike with track based bike with an amazing look to enjoy rider. Also, mileage impressed me for this cc bike among all the commotion Japan made the Bike industrial revolution through Yamaha. Everyone has not considered this suited for entertainment only fun fulfilling bike.

It wasn’t until I went to college and got my first motorcycle that I understood the thrill of speed.“I believe there are two periods in life, one for the bike, the other for becoming active in one’s work.Good performance and best bike.“I can live without a lot of things in her life, but an open road, wind in my face, mind-clearing, ride is not one of them.” – Unknown“I love taking my bike for a spin during my free time.

Everything is fine until you maintain it... Aggressive seating posture makes it a little hard to ride in traffic.. The looks are fabulous fr.. The power delivery of the engine is too good for a 155 cc.. The buying experience was quite good .... It's been 2 years since I bought this bike still the service has been a small issue.. But the overall experience was worth it..
