  • 80-90 kmph speed still getting 50 kmpl

    Lakshay Kumar

Hi,I am using this bike from more than 2 years. And my daily riding is more than 100 kms. I have to daily up-down from dwarka (delhi) to noida sector 80.The road trip is either highway or filled with traffic jam on evening. In morning and evening time till highway, i used to drive on speed of 80-90 kmph, on that much speed even a 100cc bike will give you 40-45 kmpl mileage, and bikes like hero will be breakdown only after a year, but thanks to god and yamaha i am getting mileage over 50 kmpl. At last i request every one. Please don't listen how much mileage someone telling you. Even a 100cc motorcycle will not give you mileage more than 70 even after extreme ideal condition.

  • Yamaha saluto - a real salute

    Vianny

Style i was first impressed by the style of this bike, it's pretty attractive for a youth to have decent riding.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox engine is smooth, fuel economy is around 60km/litre depending on use and city ride takes more fuel whereas riding in highway consumes less and i experimented to have 64.5 Km/litre, considering the gear box it's just 4 transmission layer only.

Ride quality & handling ride quality is good and handling is exceptionally good for me as i am 165cm height and turning around the corners is sharp for saluto when comapared to super splendor 125

final words overall a good and stylish commodity for an affordable cost.

Areas of improvement gear box should go upto fifth gear, should have tripmeter, should have tachometer for rpm.

    Pros

    smoothness, style, brand

    cons

it doesn't have a tripmeter, lack of fifth gear

I am not a good rider. This is my first bike (disc brake). Smooth riding on any road even in rainy days. Balance is superb. Service center is good which located in lower parel. If you are new then go for this bike. Seat is very well designed. Only problem is if you go beyond 65 speed its start to do more vibration. If you are daily commuter, small family then go for this bike.

  • East or west yamaha is the best

    Ajit Kumar Mala

I purchased Yamaha Saluto 125 disc in first quarter of 2016. Since then I have driven it for nearly 3 lakh km because I am a salesman. Really this bike is value for money. I never faced any problem on the road because I really take care of it and take my bike for its regular servicing . I never use any low quality or duplicate parts or cheaper engine oil. Still i am getting mileage of 55 km/l in town and 50 to 70 km/l on highways depending on driving speed. I would like to thank the entire team of Yamaha for making this bike the best bike in 125 category.

    4.Service responding is very well.

5.Pros:-well performance .Due to light weight compare with other bike control is good. After 2 servicing i calculate on high way about 65 km/litre.

Con:-fuel tank must be modified. In fuel tank side cover are not necessarily.Gear paddle are tight. Overall good performance bike for middle class customer.

Both suspensions are stiff too much. Its not comfortable to ride at all. Only good thing is it's mileage. The quality of the plastics used in it is never good. The visor always gets shaking while riding on rough village path. The gear makes a lot of noise at the time of shifting. I am not happy to ride.

3.Look is simple. Fuel tank not designed well.Side cover make a gap on it.
