  • The best 300 I would say!!

    Aldrin Pf

This bike is a gem. It offers the best things of its rivals, refinement of the ninja 300 and almost the same power as 390s. Being in a 300cc segment it offers a better pick-up than a ninja and better cruising speed, top end with less stress compared to the 390s. Cons: built quality is not great as the ktms, and all parts won't be readily available in service centers.

  • A very thorough review on the yamaha yzf r3

    Kyle Nigel

I would like to instill my whole view of this bike to those who are willing to buy this motorcycle or browsing the market for one. Let’s start with the buying experience,in general the buying process is very normal and the waiting time is considerable(1-2 months). The people here at vellore were happy to help me with any details and informed us if there were any problems. At first i ordered the matte black but after seeing the yamaha blue there was no going back. My riding experience?well i did not know how to ride i bike before i got the r3,for an indian that’s very absurd of why you would buy such a powerful machine but i believed the process and i learned almost everything on my r3. Riding the bike is just joyous and one of the best things in my life. The engine is this beautiful work of art which is willing to help enjoy the whole rpm range whenever you want. This is such a smooth engine and the power delivery is just amazing. This bike having a cable actuated throttle means that you have to learn your throttle control cause if you don’t do it right, the bike will lash out it’s power and it won’t be very forgiving which is definitely part of the whole experience i would say. Braking is the best i would say in its category cause he brakes are just amazing, will never fail to brake on time and the abs is very good, kicks in whenever you need it. Long rides are no problem for the bike,it’s 14 liter tank will allow you to go almost 300 kilometers?not sure haven’t tested that part of the bike but very efficient for a twin! heating and heat dissipation is really good on the bike. The bike seldom overheats and shuts down. In my experience, the bike has never done this to me so it speaks for itself. Let’s talk about the good stuff, the power! well this bike is a beast and it will surely put a smile on your face everytime you give it the twist of the wrist and the way it delivers the power is more likely depends on how well you use the throttle so be nice and be accurate! the exhaust note is very very good and it’s loud like “wow i didn’t expect it to be that loud” and the sounds the engine makes while you accelerate is just blissful. Riding the bike for a considerable amount of distance won’t be a problem cause the bike is very comfortable, easy on the hands and back and you won’t be tired of riding it within a few 100km if touring. Now for the pros and cons well let’s talk about the pros 1. The heart of the bike: a recipe for speed and success, and i don’t mean it lightly cause this engine is very reliable and amazing to work with. 2.A fantastic looker of a bike! well i would say this bike is a head turner definitely even in the racing blue cause most people think it’s a r15 most of the time but still definitely i’m my opinion is the best looking motorcycle in its category. 3. Reliability and performance:no doubt this bike is reliable, being a twin engine this is just smooth and reliable and the performance is just satisfying and scary if you are not ready for it. 4. Lots of room for improvement: wait why is this a pro?well if you do have some extra cash in your pockets then you can make a lot of changes to the bike and make it a track beast or a touring bike or just a custom bike if you want to! now time for the heart wrenching part of the bike, the cons, 1.The infamous r3 leaning: at first when you read thai you will find this confusing but most riders who have bought this in india have experienced this sway in the bike where it leans towards to the left, i have had this happen to me sometimes a but it won’t hinder you too much cause this happens very rarely. 2.Price point: the biggest elephant in the room is the pricing of the bike at 3.5 ex showroom. If only yamaha made it a bit less pricey there would definitely be a bump in sales. 3.Spares: spares are not rare to find but the problem is that they have to ship it from indonesia and this takes about a month which is deeply frustrating,so..Don’t crags the bike. 4. The rims and the tyres:well the rims part is that it’s a dirt magnet and it gets very dirty in a very short amount of time the tyres are just a tad bit small in my opinion, the grip and life is amazing from the metzelers but the size of the back tyre is just disappointing. Recommendation? well i’m going to put a 160 in the back and 120 in the front but most people will say no cause of the drag and less speed because but speed isn’t everything for me so i would rather have and even smoother and big tyre over losing a few kmphs cause it’s about the ride.Well that’s just my whole view about this bike,if you have more doubts i would be happy to help, you can check my instagram @lord_freeza_ !thank you and have a nice day.( i submitted this earlier but this didn’t register so i’m submitting it again)

Buy a paddock stand for cleaning the chain and the rims cause the get a lot of dirt and muck stuck to them so be careful. Coolant leakage I think won’t be a problem anymore but if so check it immediately right after you get the bike

    Tips for other riders

Buy a paddock stand for cleaning the chain and the rims cause the get a lot of dirt and muck stuck to them so be careful. Coolant leakage I think won’t be a problem anymore but if so check it immediately right after you get the bike
