The Bajaj Platina 100 is an entry-level commuter motorcycle specially developed for the rural markets. It sits above the most affordable Bajaj, the CT100 and CT110 models. This bike is available in kick Start and electric Start versions. To make it more practical, the Pune-based manufacturer has equipped the bike with knuckle guards.
The Platina 100 gets its power from a BS6-compliant 102cc fuel-injected unit which produces 7.8bhp and 8.34Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a four-speed manual gearbox with an all-down pattern. The motorcycle features a 13-litre fuel tank and it is meant to be profoundly fuel efficient. With the shift from carburetor to fuel-injection owing to the new BS6 norms, the Platina is expected to deliver marginal increase in overall fuel efficiency.
The Platina 100 gets long travel front forks and rear springs for a supple ride quality. It also gets a soft seat cushion, rubber footpads and directional tyres to further improve comfort levels. The frame, exhaust and the grab rails of the Platina are painted in black, while the engine crankcase and wheels are finished in silver. The rest of the design is pretty basic and Bajaj has maintained a very conventional look.
The Platina 100 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends suspended by telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers. It comes equipped with Bajaj’s Comfortec suspension technology for better ride quality. While braking is handled by a drum at both ends, the ES version can also be had with a front disc brake.
The Platina competes with the Honda Dream Neo, TVS Star City Plus and Hero MotoCorp HF Deluxe. It is available in just two colours - red and black.

Bajaj palitina bike

Everything is good 72 kilometres per hour mileage. The riding experience is a very nice bike that runs smoothly on mountains and off-roading. Bike mileage in the city is 65 kilometres per hour / in highway 80 to 85 kilometres per hour. Time to time service and after 3000-kilometre change engine oil. Bajaj palitina bike look is very nice and confertable.

thought of buying a Bajaj Platina 100. After 2 months when I got a good offer on the bike, I bought it from the showroom. Its light frame and easy handling make it easy to ride through traffic in the city. With its 100 cc engine, the fuel efficiency on the city road is easily around 65 to 70 kmpl. The Platina 100 is a gem for anyone looking for an affordable ride. The basic suspension setup means you feel every bump in the road. I find this bike suitable for city riding

A complete package!

The buying experience was smooth and quick. Riding experience, well to talk about it we need to talk about a lot of things. The seating position is comfortable but not as comfortable as Enfields, The seat height is tall for me, I'm 5'8. Performance is not that great. 100cc so you can't expect much. On 1st gear, you can't go more than 10 kmph, on 2nd gear, 20-25kmph, 3rd 30-40kmph, 4th 40-80kmph. I've gone to 90kmph speed on it too. But it's the smoothest until it reaches 50-60kmph. After 60 it starts vibrations, and after 70 you'll feel a lot of vibrations but you can comfortably cruise around 60. If you go about 60 you might get less mileage. Keeping Speeds up to 50 kmph gives you 70+ mileage. Speeds more than 70 kmph give the mileage of 40kmpl. You can understand the spectrum of the speed relatively. Going around 50-60 is most enjoyable. Red color Platina 100 looks the best. You can do PPF coating on it since sticker quality is not that great. In my opinion, a few features like 200mm ground clearance, CBS, engine oil window, oil filter, long seat (3 people can comfortably sit), rear spring in spring suspension, kick start, e-carburetor, DRLs, headlight turn-off switch really surprise me that a bike with this less price offers a complete package. Servicing is super friendly but also you have to be smart enough to give the person who's servicing you an early tip and you have to be friendly. That way they'll be nicer with your bike. You can buy the bike but don't expect it to give crazy performance. It'll move from A to B. It'll get the job done. It'll pull even if you have 2 pillion passengers or if you have a lot of luggage since the bore and stroke ratio of the engine is under square so it is basically a long-stroke engine and it can feel sluggish but it'll make the job done if you get used to it.

Tips for other riders
Don't use Bajaj-recommended DTS engine oil, use Motul 10w-30 semi-synthetic oil. Use it from 2nd service. Let them use the company oil in the first service (at 700kms) and in the 2nd service (at 3500 kms) use Motul 10w-30 semi-synthetic oil. It's a little expensive but it'll be the best. Don't use 10w-40 since it'll lower the performance of the already low-performance engine. Check out the old plug. See if there are any malfunctions in the sensors since this is an e-carburetor bike. You can Road with it but if you crash you can replace a lot of the parts for a fairly cheap price. Replace your spark plugs every 15000 kms.

Mileage King

My bike was purchased in 2008 and we have been using it very heavily like for long journeys around 200 to 300 km and it never gave us any trouble. The mileage of the bike is quite high in these more valued petrol rates and 2023. on average it gives 75 to 80 mileage and awesome control over driving and maintenance, and the cost of all objects like oil, and any parts are also a little low cost compared to other bikes. The bike was even used to travel with trouble riding in our village sometimes and it gives some good torque and power in heavy loads also. I drove my bike with the company-sealed tire which came with the bike in front for almost 8 years. The best things about the bike are it still looks a little new, is smooth even now, has good heavy-duty parts, reliability and Almost The cost of the bike at that time was just around 40 thousand with all the extra fittings and all other expenses, we have never changed any parts of the bike until now except the tires, clutch plates, chain sprocket, brake shoes and that is it. These are common changes to be made in every vehicle. The alloy wheels still looking like brand new, the horn is still working, lights, and everything are great, overall the things I love about my bike are, mileage, power, reliability, the life of the parts, and the low costs of the parts if anything needs a change.

Tips for other riders
1. Do not keep the bike in sunlight for more time, 2. change the engine oil from time to time for the smoothest experience, 3. if the bike is vibrating, it occurs very rarely at that time change the oil and clutch plates and give the previous same mileage and it becomes vibration-free, 4. even if you drive it without engine oil also it bears it and less damage occurs and may no damage occurs because I accidentally drove it for 2 weeks without checking the oil and it was still good. 5. change spark plugs after 2 to 3 services because burning defects may occur. 6. wash and clean your bike and keep it dust-free. 7. Lube your chain frequently because it runs more smoothly after lubing it. Maintenance is the key to the long life of the vehicle without any damage.
