The Z900 is Kawasaki’s third most potent naked bike on sale in India. It sits between the Z650 and the Z H2 with an asking price of Rs 8,93,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Kawasaki recently launched an updated model of the Z900 in India with two new colour options.
This Kawasaki Z900 looks relatively youthful with its sharp LED headlight and muscular fuel tank. Its overall design is properly butch, similar to a streetfighter motorcycle.
Powering the Z900 is an inline-four-cylinder 948cc liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. It develops 123bhp at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm at 7,700rpm.
Kawasaki also offers a handful of rider aids to make the Z900 safer. The list includes traction control, riding modes (sport, road, rain, ride), power mode, and dual-channel ABS. Furthermore, the Z900 gets other features like LED illumination and a TFT console with smartphone connectivity.
Kawasaki has equipped the Z900 with 41mm telescopic front forks with preload and rebound adjustability while the rear end gets a linked rear shock with preload adjustability. Its braking hardware comprises dual 300mm front discs and a 250mm single rear disc.
The Z900 rides on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 120/70 front and a 180/55 rear tyre. The bike weighs 212kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 17 litre.
You can buy the Z900 in two colour schemes: Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray and Metallic Carbon Gray. The Z900 rivals the Triumph Street Triple R, Ducati Monster, and BMW F900R in its segment.
The average of the Z900 [2022-2023] is 15 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

I haven't purchased the z900, I ride my friend's z900, and its crazy gear shifter is awesome and sounds fire. It looks so cool, and the perfect performance is very well. I loved it. Kawasaki gives good service and maintenance is too tough. But for us, 8t doesn't matter. More it becomes my dream bike.

Kawasaki z900 2021 2 years ownership review
1 year ago
Zubair Ahmed Sharieff
This is my 2years ownership review of kawasaki z900 2021.I bought this superbike on 3rd march 2021.Just to give background of what i was looking in my first superbike1. Relailibilty2. Refinement3. Torque throughout the rpm range4. Decent milage5. Good top speed6. Good heat management7. Long-distance decent riding comfort8. Riding modes, traction control, led lighting9. Priced reasonablyQuestion: did it check all the above pointsAnswer: a huge yesssssssI have completed 18,162 kms as of today the 2nd march 2023.Positives1. Brutal acceleration ( 1st gear = 100 kmph, 2nd gear = 130 kmph, 3rd gear = 166 kmph, 4th gear = 195 kmph, 5th gear = 215 kmph, 6th gear = 250+ kmph) 2. Most refined in line 4 japanese beauty of 948cc3. Fantastic heat management 4. Torque monster 25kmph in 6th gear no jerks5. Decent milage 17.5 to 25kmpl for 948cc6. Decent top speed of 250kmph stock7. Rider modes with custom mode which turns the bike from controlled aggression to uncontrolled aggressionNegatives1. Worst rear seat comfort.. Can't sit for more than 5kms2. Wind blast ( a good visor can be helpful ) Mra visor has taken care of this when tucked in. Following issues faced during my ownership. Very minimal issues but all were resolved. However, it will be good to know for all new zee owners.* throttle position sensor error pops ( ktrc) if we open the throttle accidentally during cold start. If this happens riding mode can't be changed until the bike temp hits 100 degrees, then switch off and start the bike to get rid of this error. * low oil indicator lamp glows even though oil level is perfect.. This is because the sensor terminal corrodes. Just access the terminal spray wd40 and it's good to go. * idle rpm drops occasionally below 1k may be due to fuel quality. Access the rpm screw and manually increase the rpm to 1.2k recommended idle speed. Use fuel system cleaner additive from liqui moly.* front number plate screws are installed after the bike reaches the Indian shores. These screws are substandard and will corrode and get jammed, make sure to replace these screws immediately after taking delivery of the bike.* stock dunlop sportsmax2 tyres are not good during wet riding conditions. * rock-hard pillion seat. Better to install seat cowl to enhance the looks of an already lethal-looking monster. Maintenance and running cost of kawasaki z900 in 2 years. (18k kms) 1. Total fuel used = 1010 liters = rs 1.07lakh approx2. Total full services 4 including brake pads = 60k3. Pair of veridestian tyres = 26k4. Own damage insurance for 2 years = 34k5. Washing detailing amt spent = 10k approxTotal running & maintenance cost in 2 years = 2,37,000/-Basically, it translates to approx 1,20,000/- per year if you are not compromising on the quality of service and consumables. Verdict = no wonder why this is the highest selling inline 4. It has 948cc, 123bhp, 98.6nm torque, torque throughout the rev range, and commendable overall mileage between 18 - 25kmpl. Superb top speed of 250 kmph, the most refined gem of an engine. If you want speed hallucination this monster is for you.

It was a nice buying experience at kawasaki hyderabad, the bike is a bit heavier in its segment but you don't feel it once you get used to it. Mind a blowing performance. It is hard to explain but you have to feel it. The service staff is having proficient knowledge.Pros: 1. Impressive power and performance.2. Comfortable riding posture for city rides and long touring.3. Eye-catching looks.4. Exhaust note is superb even with stock.Cons:1. Could be better breaking.2. Douzakh for pillion riders due to its super hard pillion seat.3. Can expect cruise control, and quick shifter as a stock option.

Overall, The kawasaki z900 is a well-rounded motorcycle that delivers a thrilling riding experience, And is a great choice for those looking for a fun and practical motorcycle.A very smooth and linear engine that has very good low end torque and easy drive-ability. The low speed behavior of the bike is really great and the bike is happy to go at 55 kmph in 6th gear. The top end of the engine is really something as well and unless you are coming from a 200 BHP supersport, you won't have any complaints. The only thing I would I have liked more would have been a higher red line as I find myself hitting the rev-limiter often when I am accelerating hard, especially in the first 3 gears.Fueling is spot on at all RPMs and there are no jerks rolling on/off the throttle but there is a little snatch in the very beginning which I thought was an issue with the throttle free-play but seems like I'll just have to live with it. There is a slight buzz above 7k RPM but it is much more refined than the Suzuki 750 or the Triumph ST RS.Vibrations and low end jerkiness have come in to play since year 2 but the low end jerkiness is solved by using XP95 fuel. The vibrations are somewhat solved after a full service.Rating - 9/10.
