Bajaj Pulsar NS400 leaked

-New, aggressive design

-Gets LED DRLS with projector headlight

-Launch on May 3

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400 launch is right around the corner and a new spy shot of the bike has revealed what it looks like. Bajaj has come up with an aggressive design for the Pulsar NS400 here’s a detailed breakdown.

Starting with the front end of the Pulsar NS400, the headlight cluster comprises a single LED projector headlight that is flanked by LED DRLs on either side. These DRLs are shaped like a bolt of lightning and it’ll be interesting to see what they look like once illuminated. The headlight cowl itself looks very neat and gives the new Pulsar NS400 an aggressive face.

Above the headlight lies the instrument cluster and is expected to be an all-digital display, similar to what we’ve seen in the rest of the updated Bajaj Pulsar range so far. It is very likely to have Bluetooth connectivity, incoming call and SMS alerts, as well as turn by turn navigation. One can also see the LED turn indicators and the beefy USD fork, finished in a gold colour like we’ve seen on the 2024 Pulsar N250.

The side profile of the bike reveals a very Pulsar NS200 style fuel tank and neatly integrated tank extensions. These tank extensions are larger and look better than the ones on the NS200. Below the tank extensions, one can see the radiator shroud that has a carbon fiber style sticker, which was confirmed in a recent teaser. A small belly pan is also seen.

The side panel is finished in black on this red coloured bike and it adds some visual contrast, while the tail section of the bike appears like an evolution of the NS200’s design. On the whole, the new Bajaj Pulsar NS400 looks muscular and sporty, which is what Pulsar fans love.

Under the bodywork there is a perimeter frame and is likely similar to the NS200’s. This frame is suspended by a USD fork as we’ve mentioned and a preload adjustable monoshock. Braking duties will be taken care of by a single disc at the front and the rear. Dual-channel ABS will be standard and expect to see ABS modes, like we have on the Pulsar N250.

As for the engine, it still remains a mystery. It could be derived either from the new KTM 390 Duke, in which case it will be a 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that’ll make over 40bhp. Or, it could be the same, 373cc engine as on the Bajaj Dominar 400, albeit in a different state of tune. Considering the price point of around Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom, that Bajaj is targeting, it might be the latter.

This and more details will be confirmed on 3 May, 2024, when Bajaj launches the Pulsar NS400 in India. This will be one of the biggest launches that we will see from the company in a while and the bike has a lot riding on its shoulders.
