New Honda CB125R unveiled; gets new TFT instrument cluster

- New CB125R gets four new colours

- Equipped with new TFT instrument

- India launch unlikely

Honda has unveiled the 2024 version of the CB125R. For the new year, the company has given the bike some new features and aesthetic upgrades.

A major upgrade on the CB125R has come in the form of a new five-inch colour TFT instrument cluster. This unit takes inspiration from that of the CB1000R and can be controlled by the new switchgear that the bike gets. Then, this upgraded Honda gets a total of four new colours - Matt Cynos Gray Metallic, Pearl Cool White, Reef Sea Blue Metallic, and Pearl Splendor Red.

Mechanically, the CB125R remains the same. Its power comes from a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 15bhp of peak power and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. It also gets a four-valve head. The rest of the cycle parts are quite premium such as the Showa SFF front forks, four-piston callipers with a 296mm front disc brake, and also the lean-sensitive ABS controlled by an IMU.

The price of the 2024 CB125R will be marginally higher than that of the outgoing model. Sadly, this bike won’t come to India as Honda won’t be able to match the price point of the KTM 125 Duke, which is manufactured in India.
