BMW Motorrad has unveiled the 2021 iterations of its midsize scooters, the C 400 X and the C 400 GT. The latest models benefit from technical upgrades along with new colours and styles. Both scooters are available in three colour options, each.
Mechanical upgrades include optimisations to comply with the Euro5 emission norms. The updated, single-cylinder engine makes 33.5bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque output of 35Nm at 5,750rpm. The motor is linked to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) gearbox. The top speed of scooters has been rated at 139kmph.
The safety net, too, has been enhanced further with an optimised Automatic Stability Control (ASC) with automatic radius calibration instead of manual recalibration. The updated braking system on the 2021 C 400 X and C 400 GT includes double discs with new callipers.
Other changes include optimised lighting of the storage compartment, the addition of a 12-volt onboard socket, and a USB charger in the front right storage compartment.
