Kawasaki has launched the 2016 ZX-14R in the Indian market, at Rs 17.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The motorcycle is imported to the country from Japan as a completely built unit.
For 2016, Kawasaki has updated this flagship model with a host of technological updates to reduce the emissions according to the new Euro4 emission standards. Kawasaki has revised the ECU settings and made changes to the exhaust system to meet the latest Euro4 emission regulations. Powering the ZX-14R is the same 1441cc inline four engine, which is rated at 200 horsepower. Besides these, the ZX-14R also gets revised seating ergonomics to improve its touring abilities. Aesthetically, the new ZX-14R is identical to the previous model (apart from the new exhaust canister).
Currently, it takes 25 days for the ZX-14R to be delivered, once the customer has made the full payment. The ZX-14R is only available in a dual-tone green and black paint scheme. It competes with other hyperbikes like the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa, Aprilia Caponord 1200, Honda VFR1200 and the BMW R1200 RT.
