Here is a picture of what looks to be a lower-cost Mahindra Mojo on test. The big difference the picture reveals is the conventional forks in place of the USD one seen on the outgoing model. According to sources, there are also other changes which lead them to believe that this will be the motorcycle for people wanting the Mojo at a lower cost.
From the looks of it, the Mojo which appears to be riding on the red registration plates with changes which may not favour the motorcycle’s performance, but, may be lighter on the pocket. The biggest change, as we said before, is the loss of what were top-drawer USD forks. The second biggest change according to the source is that the motorcycle was running on a single exhaust.
Even though not completely visible in the spy shot there is visible reworking of the header pipe, which leads us to believe that it could be one of the cost cutting methods from Mahindra. The test mule appears to have lost its left side muffler. Rumours also suggest that the motorcycle will lose its twin headlamp unit and expensive Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres for some MRFs.
This new lower cost model will be positioned significantly lower due to its pricing which means it will open up an entire new market for Mahindra. As of now, we will have wait until there is more information on this upcoming low-cost Mojo.
