Hero sales climb 16.5 per cent in April

- Over 6.94 lakh two-wheelers sold

- Cements its position as country’s and world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer

Hero MotoCorp has announced a 16.5 per cent increase in two-wheeler sales in April 2018 as compared to the corresponding month in the last year.

With over 6.94 lakh two-wheelers sold, the company has cemented its position as India’s, as well as the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer. As compared to this, Hero had sold 5.95 lakh two-wheelers in April 2018.

Of late, sales of the Hero Splendor have gone through the roof. The commuter bike shot past the Honda Activa in March 2018, regaining its crown as the highest selling two-wheeler in the country. The HF Deluxe is the second most popular motorcycle in Hero’s range, although it is still behind the Activa. Among the scooters, the Maestro Edge is the highest selling model. While the commuter bikes have been its top money-spinners, Hero will soon expand into the premium space with the Xtreme 200R and the Xpulse
