Kawasaki India recently launched Ninja ZX-6R in the country. This marks the Japanese brand’s re-entry in the middleweight supersport segment and here are the top five highlights of the bike.
Design
For 2024, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R looks just as sharp but the design has been altered when compared to the model sold earlier. The latest version’s fascia appears slightly tweaked and the headlights’ peripheral fairing is curvy. Apart from that, the 6R looks just as sporty, aggressive, and youthful.
Features
Kawasaki has also offered more features on the new Ninja ZX-6R. Alongside LED illumination, the bike gets a 4.3-inch TFT with smartphone connectivity for call and SMS alerts, four ride modes – Sport, Road, Rain or Rider (manual) – and dual channel ABS. The addition of TFT should enhance the overall convenience for the rider.
Engine
With the emission compliance, the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R now packs a greener engine. It is 636cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled unit and belts out 128bhp and 69Nm. Then, Kawasaki has also offered a bi-directional quickshifter and slipper clutch.
Hardware
The bike rides on 41mm separate function big piston forks and a linked gas-charged monoshock. Both are fully adjustable. Then, the brakes include a pair of 310mm front and a 220mm rear disc with ABS. These are linked to 17-inch tyres wrapped in sticky road-biased tyres.
Price
Kawasaki has priced the Ninja ZX-6R at Rs. 11,09,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new asking price is Rs. 60,000 more than before. Currently, the only direct rival for the ZX-6R is the Aprilia RS 660.
