I am not a experts to review this bike. But p220 is my dream bike i am thinking to own this bike.
But some cons on this bike i don't like it
1-air/oil cooling engine heating issue
required liquid cooling must
2- engine is not upgraded
please upgrade the engine like ns 200
3-required 6th gear
4- abs is not available
5-much more vibration in this bike
6-why bhp & tork less then ns 200 & as 200
7- disk break is not so good minimum pattle disk required like apache rtr 180 & as 200
why bajaj not upgrade p220 engine and all these things
in 2017 bajaj only changes? cosmetic, colors & bs-4 compliant but not upgrade the engine.
I am waiting for engine upgrade p220
don't do this for p220 i am big fan of pulsar 220f
plz upgrade... As soon as possible

Bike is very hot but now its like a back dated bike because 2009 model & 2017 are same. Some little bit change. But bike is so fast.....
Disadvantages-:
1. Double stand is too down in any speed breaker it will be touch.
2. When you ride this bike in above 100kmph there will be much vibrations and making some noise.
3.When you full the tank it will must get leak. But now in 2017 model this problem little bit lower.
4.There no chain cover in this bike so its not protected. ****
Advantage-:
1. At first told about the bike's 100 kmph speed. It will be done in only 10 sec. Because of its engine high starting torque.
2. Its sound is amazing when you start to go for a avengers at that time when you start the bike you fill that you go in a avenger.
3.Its body fiver quality is to good and very hard.
4.This bike top speed is 140-150 kmph. So its so fast on this investment.
5.Compare with same power's bike this bike mileage is good.
****note- if you have this bike so please do not clean the chain by yourself because its so dangerous for your finger.

A lot of bikes which makes one confuse for which bike to choose.

Style
there is absolutely no doubt about the style. Preferably i liked it.Some may not like it. Everyone has their own likings. So no objection for style.
Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox
engine performance is awesome. I came to know that 200ns's engine performance in good compared to 220. I dont no as i haven't ridden it yet. But 220 has a great power. Mine is new one, purchased on 27th february 2014. It's pickup is super. Its super smooth engine makes you happy while riding it. Its power can pull the bike fastly in busy traffic. Fuel economy, they say(company) it gives 40 +, but i don't think so, its above 35 but not above 40. I haven't checked my bikes economy as it new. Gearbox is not smooth(mine one), even after first service its hard.
Ride quality & handling
my height is just 5'4 hence i felt a little bit pain in the back. It was just for 2-3 days. Now im used to the bike, so no problem. Handling is good. As its a big bike, turning radius is large but not as large as avenger, one can manage. When the bike is at still position you cant pull back or move forward. Its very heavy(for me,as i felt).
Final words
i dint gave deep review about the bike as i'm not a biker nor expert rider. Actually i went to book 200ns. But it didn't suit for my height, so obviously 220f came to my hand. Im satisfied with the bike , but not fully. Now it has become old . A little bit change in the design, performance, and also displacement could make that bike to reach to the sky. As i said it has become old, it doesn't mean that its not a good bike, if it was so i wouldn't have purchased it now. As 200ns is technically improved, i would like to suggest that bike too.
Areas of improvement
1. Headlight high-beam. Having 55w bulb though not enough for highways. I dont no what to do for highbeam. If anyone knows please suggest me. Low- beam light has good projection.
2. Tachometer, speedometer. Improvement in design as now it has become old fashioned.
3. Looks of the engine and its side parts. 200Ns's engine look is good.
4. Rear view mirrors is of no use. Only company should decide what to do.
5. Seat is hard for both riders and pillions. Rider may not feel anything as he will be busy in applying brake, changing gears etc... But pillion will feel for sure. A little bit cushioning can make seat soft.
Pros
headlight, style , look , design, rear tyre, tail lamp
cons
tachometer, speedometer, hard seat, rear view mirror.

A performance beast in this segment...

Nakul Lalit Sharma
I owned this bike in 2011 since...I ride about 40k kms on date..Bike is very good in long distance touring, short runs, mileage is also good,it gives me always around 38-40 kmpl (yes!!), i am use this machine for city riding highways n some off road too, this bike always makes me happy in any riding condition, power and pickup is too good in this segment,i never face any on road issue within 8 years of riding, till date i only change a pair of both brake pads and tyres. And still running without a loos nut on engine. I"m using motul 300v oil since 10k kms and believe me..That oil is perfect for this bike, last year i ride about 680 km in a single day without any issue. This bike is perfect for who like performance bike in budget with low budget, parts availability is also good in market,i always prefer for servicing in authorised bajaj centre,i never goes to local mistery". Service is always done in interval of 5k kms. This bike"s riding posture is comfortable for long distance touring or heavy city uses.My height is 5"5 and i handle this bike very well so tall riders also too. Suspension is also good in any kind of road or off road. Braking is given by bybre calipers, and there bite is impressive in rainy condition. Fuel tank capacity is 15l so this is also a charm for those looking for nonstop long highway run. Looking is also good, projector lamps(low beam) and reflector lamp (high beam) is both powered by 55w halogen bulbs, gives very good visibility in night,i don't need any aux leds for extra lighting.Only few cons is here -Bike's fairing give some noise if you ride in some bad road after some kms,but it is negligible.Timing chain noise is starts after 25k,you need to replace it.Rear brake seems some spongy after use hard on long ride condition. So here is my overhaul experience with this bike,i say one thing about this bike if you want to buy it,if you ignore its some ''cons you got a very nice machine. This bike is come with fastest Indian badge and this prove it too.So if you find this review helpful, this is my pleasure. :)Thanks for reading my experience So ride hard and ride safe.

Style it is not about style. I liked the bike's massive dimensions from the moment i saw it the first time many years ago. Now when i went to the showroom, i saw this pearl-white (black & white) p220f and it was love at first sight. I could have gone for the p180 of same color, but this pearl-white with bybre discs in the rear looked massive and a fuller sportsbike to me. This bike is something big for me because i have graduated from max 100 to discover 100 to p220f. That's a big move.
Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox i know bajaj engines are not like honda or suzuki engines, but i have ridden a discover 100 for 2.5 Years and know how to maintain a poorer engineering. Even when i gave it away after 24,000 kms, it was smooth enough. I just know how to ride with love.
This p220f engine seems to be solid for the time being. I want to keep it for long, like an enfield (it is an enfield for me because its a 1-lac rupee bike). The soft report upto 55kmph doesn't make you feel that you are riding a power bike. But one or two times i crossed 60kmph and that is when i felt that this was a monster. In fact, i shouldn't have bought it. Should have gone for a less powerful bike like one of those new discover 150's or the gixxer. Once you cross that 60-mark, it sounds like booooooor in your helmet and pulls like anything. It reminds me of my friend's yamaha 350 from many years ago.
I don't want to kill that engine in the long term, so i will not take it beyond 80kmph ever. They say that a bajaj engine lasts only 30k, i want to test it with my smooth riding style.
Gearbox is slightly tough, but not an issue. Mileage is however an issue. I haven't calculated it, but i can judge that it's in the 35-40kmpl bracket. I used to get 80+kmpl from my discover 100cc.
Ride quality & handling the p220f doesn't create much noise over shallow broken roads. The main stand however does touch those awkwardly built speadbreakers. Ride quality is overall much smoother than the weaker bikes. The large rear tires can withstand some of those broken roads that would otherwise be a pain. Handling - i didn't find any difficulty in moving on from my discover 100 to this monster. This was probably because i have ridden my cousin's yamaha r15 for some time. The front fairing doesn't cause any concern to me but the bike does require a lot more turning radius. Need to take those deep curves slower than usual.
Final words i am in love with this monster. It is a lovely creature until 55-60kmph. But once you cross that 60ks, it becomes a devil and gives you the sensation of sitting on something with the sound of a yezdi (only to the rider, not to others), but with the power of a yamaha 350. It is a 1-lac bike, so got to wipe it and clean it everyday and protect its parts from rusting. Bajaj spare parts are not that good quality, so need to oil and remove dirt regularly.
Areas of improvement could have helped if gear no. Was shown on the display. That main stand is a problem. Should have added a kick to allow starting whenever in trouble. Bajaj could do better by adding a full engine cover that comes upto the fairing. Otherwise the bike looks incomplete.

Bike looks to good

I am not a experts to review this bike. But p220 is my dream bike i am thinking to own this bike.
But some cons on this bike i don't like it
1-air/oil cooling engine heating issue
required liquid cooling must
2- engine is not upgraded
please upgrade the engine like ns 200
3-required 6th gear
4- abs is not available
5-much more vibration in this bike
6-why bhp & tork less then ns 200 & as 200
7- disk break is not so good minimum pattle disk required like apache rtr 180 & as 200
why bajaj not upgrade p220 engine and all these things
in 2017 bajaj only changes? cosmetic, colors & bs-4 compliant but not upgrade the engine.
I am waiting for engine upgrade p220
don't do this for p220 i am big fan of pulsar 220f
plz upgrade... As soon as possible
