The Harley-Davidson X440 is the first, single-cylinder motorcycle that was launched by the company in India. The bike has been co-developed with Hero MotoCorp and is aimed at taking on the might of Royal Enfield’s Classic 350.
The motorcycle is available in three variants. The base model uses single-tone paint and comes with wire-spoke wheels. Then, the mid version gets alloy wheels and a dual-tone finish. Meanwhile, the top-spec model comes loaded with premium features such as diamond-cut alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, and 3D logos. The Bluetooth module brings the turn-by-turn navigation function to the top model.
The looks of the bike are one of the biggest highlights of the X440. Bits like the round headlight with integrated Harley-Davidson branding, wide fuel tank, and the chunky tank panels add visual appeal. The other elements of the bike that grab attention include a single-pod instrument cluster, flat handlebar, side-slung exhaust, machined alloy wheels, and retro-style round indicators.
The Harley-Davidson X440 is powered by a 440cc, single-cylinder, oil and air-cooled engine with a two-valve setup that makes 27bhp at 6,000rpm and 38Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm.
Under the bodywork lies a steel trellis frame, and it uses 43mm upside-down front forks and gas-charged, preload-adjustable twin rear shocks to handle the suspension duties. The braking tasks are taken care of by single disc brakes on both wheels, while the safety systems comprise a dual-channel ABS and a side-stand engine cut-off function.
The Harley-Davidson X440 is available in four colours- Mustard Denim, Vivid Dark Silver, Vivid Thick Red, and S-Matter Black.
It goes up against the Hero Mavrick 440, Triumph Speed 400, and the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

I have had a horrible customer experience in Harley-Davidson customer care even a single part like a footpeg arrives after 6 months and the customer care is very irresponsible and unresponsive. They are also asking me to wait for 2 months to fix a manufacturing default in the bike. Please don't buy at Harley Davidson

Before buying this beast I took a test ride of Himalayan and other competitors like Benelli etc. After riding x440 I found it easy to ride in the city as well as highways. On paper, you can’t decide how the bike will perform. This bike can do anything which you can do in India.Easy for daily commuteGood mileage Good handlingEasy parts availability as Hero dealers will keep the parts and serviceHarley badgeI am sure it’s value for moneyIt’s after riding 2000kms

it's been a year since I purchased it. I will say if you're looking for a cruiser bike with good looks and bassy exhaust then go for it.I have completed more than 20000 kms on it in rain, snowfall, heatwaves, highways, terrains, and water crossing everywhere it performed well so I can say this bike is completely value for money

Exhaust is the melody

I am about to complete 1 year of being an owner of X440. Here are the things which I like. Its Exhaust will make your day. It does sound like a Harley, considering a single-cylinder engine. It looks bigger in real, is longer than the classic, and bigger speed of 400. So it has a great road presence. In practical life, you will deal with city traffic most of the time, and this bike can get you away from traffic even in 3rd gear. You will love its low-end torque.Things which I don't like. The front suspension bottoms out sometimes. The finishing of the wires could have been better.

I recently had the pleasure of riding the Harley-Davidson X440, and it was an exhilarating experience. The bike's single-cylinder, 440cc engine delivers impressive low-end torque, making it perfect for both city commutes and highway cruises. The refinement and comfort are top-notch, with minimal noise and vibration, allowing for a smooth ride even at higher speeds.

Man, it looks so big in real life than in photos. Firstly, I criticised the bike now being an owner of it is just cool. Was thinking of buying the Speed 400 for fit and finish but it doesn’t matter in real life. Great bike if you are planning to cruise or do a daily commute. The engine is so smooth. If you want to see what this bike can do, please take a test ride.

Its distinct aesthetics also attract the riders to buy it.

It depends on many factors but its brand and legacy is the thing that draws the attention of many enthusiasts. X440 is a durable motorcycle that focuses on balancing and handling suitable for different types of riders. Its distinct aesthetics also attract the riders to buy it. But still, Harley is better than its competitors, plus Harley riding styles may not be suitable for anyone. But still, the X440 is a good option because it's suitable for both daily commutes and long rides.

Worst Experience Ever

I must tell you about our disastrous experience purchasing the Harley x440 S at your Ludhiana dealership. There was no discount, a switched-up quote at checkout, and then—boom—an extra ₹2,500 charge out of nowhere. What’s the deal? We were promised a bag and a refund, neither of which we’ve seen. And the paperwork? Still not done because no one took our signatures or photos. This is beyond sloppy; it’s unacceptable.

Bought honda h'ness cb350 because deliveries are in oct and bikes are not even on display.
Kashish Khanna
Waited for 3 month to get this product launch and now even after launch delivery dates are of october. This is really bad marketing. Why to launch a bike in so much advance when it's not available to deliver and also there is no bike available for display or test ride. Who wants to book a bike worth 3 lakh without sitting on it taking a nearby look. Finally i bought honda h'ness cb350 and happy with my purchase .

Is it value for money
Libin Tom Laji
The pricing of the base variant is good. But lack in features like navigation, gear indicators, traction control, only air cooling system. But the ergonomics seems good . The ride will be comfortable. Harley provides lcd display but no navigation no connectivity features etc. But harley didn't overpriced it. I think it's a value for money. At least it is a Harley Davidson . In the books they claim that this bike gets 35 km mileage, that is a decent mileage
