Harley-Davidson Street 750 [2018-2019] Summary

The Street 750 is the most affordable motorcycle in Harley’s line-up and is also the stepping stone into the Harley Owners Group. It is part of the Dark Custom motorcycle range and has been specifically made for first time Harley-Davidson owners.

It gets traditional cruiser design cues like a sweptback handlebar, mid-mounted instrumentation and a round headlamp with bikini fairing. Except for the rear shocks and the front forks, which are garnished in chrome, the entire motorcycle gets a matte black theme.

The Street 750 is powered by a liquid-cooled V-twin engine which the company calls the ‘Revolution X’. The engine delivers 47bhp and 59Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed transmission with belt drive. Braking has always been the Street 750’s Achilles heel, though this has been mitigated with a new rear brake setup and ABS. It also gets the company’s proprietary smart security system and a proximity key-fob.

The Street 750 is available in five colour schemes – Vivid Black, Performance Red, Denim Black, Barracuda Silver and Vivid Black Deluxe. Moreover, to celebrate Harley’s 10th anniversary in India, the company has introduce a limited-edition model with a unique paint scheme. The bike competes with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Kawasaki Vulcan in the country.

Harley-Davidson Street 750 [2018-2019] Expert Opinion

This is the updated Street 750 which has been launched in India under Harley-Davidson’s new marketing initiative – Dark Custom. Launched at 2014 Auto Expo, the Street 750 was the answer to everyone’s affordable premium cruiser dream. While the bike did set the sales chart on fire, it still had some niggles which has been rectified by Harley-Davidson in this model.

Meet the Harley-Davidson Street 750. With modern-day performance from an all-new liquid-cooled engine and an incredibly attractive price tag, Harley has worked hard to open up another area in the motorcycle market for themselves. With its minimal café racer styling, the Street is a cruiser motorbike that's a blank canvas for customization. Ultimately, it’s everything Harley said it would be; it’s affordable, handles well, and is surprisingly agile.

      1. I was interested to buy the bike after purchased bike it reached my expectations.
2 . Very comfortable to ride, luxury feeling while riding.
3 . Special edition only limited bikes which gives rich looks, coming to performance v- twin powerful engine which takes within sec 0-100 kmph.
4 . Service bit high but the standard of material used are high quality, maintenance cost is less.
5 . Rich looking bike, 13.1 l capacity fuel tank, belt driven, but heating issue.

Ooddless of torque super stability hd brand now with reliable brakes!!!!

      Roshan Zameer

I had re thunderbird 350 with me since 2014. After two years when upgrading i had two options vulcan s and street 750. After test riding both bikes i concluded that on points like long rides, city traffic commuting, fuel economy, dealer ship experience, spares availability and cost, ownership brand value, low end torque street 750 was the clear winner. But i was skeptical about the brake issues on earlier street versions. But luckily was quite convinced after thorough test ride that it was a thing of past. So went ahead with street 750!!! till date have completed 26000kms over 2 yrs! never had an issue with reliability or any point mentioned. It has lived upto my expectations. So 100% satisfied with my decision.

Great motorcycle to start your motorcycling journey, the engine is super quick, you get the initial rush at very low rpms, brakes is not an issue as the motorcycle comes with the abs. It handles like a piece of cake. If you are looking at a motorcycle to start your motorcycling journey, go for it, its a great buy.

I own a 2018 model The breaking issue is taken care of thanks to the recall and got brand new breaks 2019 standard As of the machine it's one of the fastest harleys out there fit and finish is not that great but you get a brand value lots of customization options and a good touring bike for the value.
