Hero Maestro Summary

The Hero Maestro is a scooter meant for the men. It is bigger and more stylish than the Pleasure- the scooter meant for women. Its bold lines give it a very masculine and dynamic look. It competes with the Honda Activa which is the highest selling scooter in India.

The Maestro gets the combined braking system that triggers both brakes with pressing just the left side lever resulting in very efficient braking. The Maestro features a digital instrument cluster with trip meter, fuel gauge, odometer and service due indicator.

Hero Maestro is powered by a single-cylinder 109cc air-cooled engine that churns out 8.2PS at 7,500 rpm and 9.10 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The scooter has ARAI fuel efficiency of 60 kmpl and is available in six colours – Electric Blue, Harvest Green, Blazing Red, Pearl White, Panther Black and Force Silver.

      Neetu Shekhawat

Riding Hero Maestro Edge with utmost comfort since 2018, its design, smooth ride, and comfort are something you can not deny. Its color finishing is also very good. Very comfortable to ride in Jaipur traffic, good seating position, and decent mileage make it the preferred commuter. If you need to go with a scooty that is worth the price then this is the one you need.

comfortable to ride. Better looking than most of the scooters on the road in this segment. Parts are easily available in the market. Parts costing is also comfortable for your wallet. I've been using the scooter for more than 6 years now and I still enjoy riding it. Definitely can travel inter-city.

Looks may not be that good. But, its spacious, heavy and tough , having a lower center of gravity, hence good balanced. Before 6 service it produced around 35-38kmpl consumption but after that it radically increased to 46-48 kmpl. I ride within city,n often intercity and in my 3 years of voyage, it never gave me any problem. Area of concern : headlight power not so good, front shocker not upto mark.

When my family bought this scooty back in 2012 it was seen good in showroom as well as in daily commute, my mother rides this scooty to her office on daily basis, till 3-4 yrs of purchase it gave good performance and mileage as well, but after that its performance and mileage derogates consecutively, now it is 8 yrs old and we use to get only 35 kmpl and par surprise is that its performance has decreased exponentially. These dealers are thug and there servicing is worst, without knowing anything about the machine how come these mother fucking dealers appoints those worker, if any problem arises in the vehicle they simply say you have to replace it without seeing its reuse or rectifying the problem, these mother fucked dealers looted the buyers from a long period of time. Though i can only it is usable as it serves its work calmly.

      Amit Gupta

It is the best in the scooty department. The engine sounds like a bike not a scooty. It's so comfortable to ride this scooty that at a speed above 50 km/hr you will feel you are going slow. The only con was that its seating used to get stuck alot if times and i had to take it to the service centre for it to open. This is the best by hero in the scooty department.

Maestro not a master in the market

      Dishanth Kumar

The vehicle is a typical daily commute vehicle. The engine is okay but its not that refined. This is especially true when compared to that of a honda activa. The power delivery is very good. The handling is good. Brakes could be better. No abs. Build quality is not that good. The vehicle started to fall apart after 10000 km. In terms of durability, it is way beyond activa. The resale value is also less. Mileage is another downside. It will reduce greatly later. Also heavier than its competitors. The cluster is half analogue and half digital. At a whole the vehicle is good and suitable for daily commuting. It does what it is intended to.

      Maestro and its spares

      Santhosh

I bought the first model of maestro, blue colored. When i was buying the hero dealer said it has tubeless tyres but it wasn't. After a year the back tyre was punctured and when i went to puncture shop i had a bad experience that there was a multi layered tube with a greasy and sticky solution inside made the puncture boy irritated. So he removed the 2 layered tube and made it as single layered for future ease.At the starting the bike was good and there were no problems for almost 6-7 months, after multiple company servicing i started facing mileage issues. The mechanic in the hero showroom says they have tuned the mileage but they have never done it. After all free servicing i have shown to one of the mechanic near to my home, then he tuned it properly and there onwards it started giving mileage up to 35-40 kmpl. The fuel capacity is 5-6 litres in the tank, which should be improvised.Last two years back i met with a small accident as another two wheeler guy came in wrong route. It was a small impact to the mud guard of front tyre but the mud guard as well my front body was a breakage as maestro has the total body plastic. There are two instances i have broken my side stand, as i have parked my vehicle on the kacha road where the land was wet, the water was draining, after some time the side stand slowly dipped into the land and due to the weight the stand broken. The stand provided company was a joint of two iron rods which was really bad. The joint was covered by a welding, so i never thought that will have a breakage by just some extra weight.Next instance of side stand breakage is my 25 years aged brother just took support to stand when the vehicle was on side stand. So the side stands provided by hero moto corp are really not up to the mark. So i suggest to go for a better choice.

      Coolest scooter for men

      Abel Aloysius

I have owned it for 6 years now. And i am satisfied. Its bad in looks. Tail light design is boring. Headlight is cool. Servicing cost is high in this price segment scooter. But it's comfortable. It have more superior spacing. I don't like the edge version. Which is ugly looking scooter and is continued now. Hero can you please relaunch the Maestro GT limited edition.

Very poor performance and dealer service is not good

      Jacob

Very poor vehicle, poor mileage very poor performance , over and above the dealers service is not at all good.I purchased this vehicle in oct 2015, from modi dealers, the vehicle i got is with a major manufacturing defect, the vehicles fork was bent towards left not aligned properly. I wonder how this company can roll out a defect vehicle without any proper quality check. In-spite of my repeated complaints to the modi hero dealer could not solve my problem. Finally i had to sell the vehicle.

      Subhash Dhawan

Very bad mileage and provide jerk during the riding i am unhappy for this bike don't buy it. Heavy bike. Cover is not properly locked. Taking much more fuel. Wastage of rupees. According to me activa is much batter than maestro. They provide at lest 40km/hour. Don't buy this bike otherwise you will get fooled.
